Maria Klots, LMHCA

My name is Maria Klots, and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington State. I received a Master of Art in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University that emphasizes whole-person wellness and healing. Before starting my practice, I worked in higher education assisting students in choosing new careers and learning the skills needed to navigate the complexity of college life.

I have worked with adults, youth, children, parents, and families my entire professional career in one way or the other, and I have seen the meaningful changes my clients make. My therapeutic approach is a combination of Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Play Therapy.
