We had brunch reservations on Saturday. The cafe is quaint and cozy, it did get loud at times. The table had bottomless mimosas and I started with the French onion soup - which was to die for. Some of our orders were lost, but the restaurant comped those meals and kept the mimosas flowing. So glad this cafe has been able to reopen and stay successful!

Can't get enough of this place! Loved them before the pandemic and love them even more now afterwards with the renovations. My girls and I went for happy hour on a Friday night. The bar was pretty packed as that's the only place you can utilize the happy hour menu. The host sat us down for a table in the bar area. They have QR code's for the menu, but you can also ask for a paper menu. I love that it was full service, but I could order things online directly to my table and added onto my tab. The service was quick. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious!

Honestly, I’m hesitant about giving a 5 star review most of the time but I had no questions about giving one for this place. From the service to the food, everything was exceptional. I walked in and the host was pleasant. I was seated in the bar and Charles was OUTSTANDING! Kind, efficient, and just an overall joy. The food runners were kind and engaging. There was not one person who interacted with me that wasn’t a 10/10 on customer service.
Ambience was 10/10.
The food was exceptional not only exceptional, but appropriately priced. I couldn’t even eat everything I ordered because I’m

I used to work at GTC before the tornado and Covid. I didn't expect them to come back, but they have come back with flying colors! They are constantly trying to figure out new ways to stand out, and the level of ingenuity and seeing what sticks is so cool to see. Sean and Jeff are a great team, and I'm excited to see what they do!
Food was just as I remembered as well! Best shrimp and grits in town

If you’re visiting Nashville or you live here, you have to come out and be a part of this place! Great brunch, great dinner, great mimosas and cocktails, service that cares, and owners that are here and involved…you can’t go wrong here. If you don’t like it here it’s your fault because they are going to listen to you and see what you want your experience to be. Great people!

We were so excited to try out Germantown Cafe after it reopened. It is in a cute neighborhood and has a free parking lot. Our server was so sweet, very on top of things. The drinks were solid, but the food was just meh. Fried green tomatoes and meatball appetizers were nothing special, the crab cakes were extremely small and thin, but the sauce with them and the mashed potatoes were fantastic. Steak frites came with the worst cut of top sirloin, a thick, chewy fatty ribbon horizontally throughout the entire thing, and the fries were not hot. We were underwhelmed!

Amazingly delicious. The French Onion Soup, Key Lime Pie, and Mac N Cheese were very tasty. My buddy had the veggie burger. He said, ‘this gets better with each bite’. Good vibes. Great service and great view of downtown on one of my favorite blocks in Germantown. Now, I’m craving Key Lime Pie again. I’m headed back for brunch soon.

Very solid American fare right in the heart of Germantown. Coming fresh off a remodel it's nice to have another option in the area. While The menu felt a bit limited in options the food served up at our table was all very well liked. The steak frites came out perfectly cooked with a delicious pepper relish on top that gave it a tangy spicy bite that was unexpected. Would definitely recommend for a nicer meal in the neighborhood.

If you would like to go a place where they don't ID for Alcohol you should try Germantown Cafe We was not asked to see ID. They have great Drinks!. The menu was very limited it's a waste of time if you're hungry. I Had RSVP for 10 people once I arrived I asked the Manager if we could add additional 5 people he said yes as long as we was out by 7… pm. I said no problem we have other arrangements so, 5:30 hit the restaurant starts filling up The Manager then started cleaning up our table with the extra 5 people letting them know they need to move/Go because other people was coming in. He knew

We moved to Germantown shortly after the tornado in March 2020, and we've been anxiously waiting and hoping for Germantown Cafe to reopen -- so happy that the day is finally here!
We loved our first visit for brunch during the soft open. Service was attentive and quick, and the food was delicious. Coffee was always fresh brewed and refills kept coming. We had the steak and eggs, with, in my companion's words "perfect steak, perfect eggs, perfect hash brown potatoes." I also really liked the lemon poppy French toast with crispy bacon to balance the sweetness.
We look forward

Just reopened after a nearly two year hiatus following the 2020
Nashville tornado and then all things COVID, Germantown Cafe is dining done right.
Never heard of the place just happened to be driving through the area following a night at TPAC looking for a place to eat. We stopped here because there was a sign in the parking lot across the street that said for Germantown Cafe guests only. BONUS as parking in the Nasville comes at a premium and paying to park to eat really pains me.
There menu is a bit limited in choices but the choices are good. We had the crab cakes and the coconut curry salmon

So happy that the BEST Nashville Original is open again! Several awesome improvements, but the favorites are still there. The Plum Pork (my favorite), is better than ever and the fried Brussels sprouts are TO DIE FOR! The staff, the atmosphere and the homey "feel" that were sadly missed after the tornado are back and well worth the wait. Thank you Chef Jeffrey for patiently rebuilding the literal heart of Germantown!

Just opened for a soft opening and they are already amazing!
To start, they have a great Happy Hour- the menu is small, but wonderful. We had the wings and the meatballs. Both are so flavorful! The portions are good if you aren't super hungry.
For an entree, we had the rigatoni! The touch of balsam is really elevates the dish and it was so full of flavor!
Their bar is awesome and their drinks are amazing! We love this place and we are so excited to make it our go to spot!

Stopped here for drinks before our reservation at a restaurant nearby . We seated at the bar and ordered one of their drinks on the happy hour menu (everyday from 3-7 , fantastic ! ) drinks were good , service was ok , the bartender wasn't particularly paying attention to us and it took us a while to get a refill even tho we were seating right next to her .
I'd probably visit again to try the food sometime

Went to happy hour for a friend's birthday. We had a ball. I ordered chicken wings, tomato basil soup and a grilled pimento cheese sandwich, and a rose sangria. We had about 13 people so we filled up the bar area. We probably ordered everything on the the happy hour menu. I didn't hear any complaints about the any of the cuisine from my friends either. We went on a Tuesday and there was a pretty good crowd. Service was great. The wings were awesome. Prices were low. Overall a good time with friends in a great atmosphere. I will definitely return for happy hour to the Germantown cafe.

Most likely will not come back here. The service was awful. It look almost 45 mins for the starters to come out. The waitress was extremely snippy to us and my chicken was under cooked. Didn't send it back… because it was a Caesar salad and it would have taken another 45 mins to bring out. The waitress never came and apologized for even gave us a reason to why everything was taken forever until I asked her and then she got rude. Not coming back.

Germantown Cafe appears to be tops at brunch but dinner was another matter. we were excited by the menu and the kitchen did produce some excellent dishes. My chicken was perfectly cooked.
But take your pick below and you can see how they fell short:
- slow service, fresh rolls were served after salads were cleared and so far ahead of the main course we thought they were their own course
-salad was overdressed
-poached carrots were under cooked, had to cut with a knife and press so hard plate rattled. My wife didn't even finish hers.
-cockroach ran across floor by our table taking a leisurely

We care here for brunch yesterday and I had to share my experience. This was my first time coming to this restaurant and I thought it was a very cute corner joint. Walking inside, I was even more impressed by how clean and modern it looked. We got sat and the waitress was great! We told her we wanted mimosas and she told us about the pitcher deal so we definitely went with her suggestion.
We looked over the menu and decided on crab cakes and shrimp & grits and both were not disappointed. Even the little sweet donuts that the waitress brought out was so good- it was a better version of those
