Currently, smog inspections are required for all vehicles except diesel powered vehicles, electric, natural gas powered vehicles over 14,000 lbs, hybrids, motorcycles, trailers, or vehicles 1975 and older. Vehicles registered in areas subject to the biennial smog certification program are required to submit evidence of a smog certification every other renewal period.
Harry and Ted are two of the last honest mechanics in San Mateo. They never BS you, just fix what is wrong and charge a reasonable price, no unnecessary "extras" that most German car repair shops seem to always include. These guys can fix just about anything on any make of car. I have had my car serviced here for YEARS and they are great.

Harry is genius and his team is awesome.
You guys can trust them with your cars, any kind of problem or upgrade hit them up.
You guys will love their work along with the views nearby, as they are located in heavily nature surrounded areas.
Harry and his team is very knowledgeable, specially when it comes to custom work or upgrades to the sport cars.
Will always give honest opinion, if you don't need anything they won't ask you to do so.

Majority of the times I come here for the car wash. It's the touch less car wash that does not use the rubber revolving scrubbers, so for the "don't scratch my car" type people you'll love it. The pumps are limited so during rush hour it can get crowded. It's located right off 92 so it's a good stop before half moon bay or Hayward.
