Family-owned and operated, our local sushi restaurant has been in business since 1986. With a spacious dining room, sushibar, and traditional tatami rooms, we can seat parties of all sizes. Our menu offers many favorite Japanese dishes, such as, beef, chicken or salmon teriyaki, gyoza, rice dishes, bento boxes, bulgogi beef, tempura, and salads.
We have your traditional sushi rolls such as spicy tuna, california, and philadelphia but we also offer innovative rolls that our guests have created. Pair your meal with beer, wine, and sake besides tea and soft drinks.

I am giving 3 stars out of respect for Yuri's longevity as an institution, and lack of any other options in the area...but it should probably be 2 stars. The sushi is average, but the prices are quite frankly ridiculous. To put it in perspective, a Rainbow roll is $19.25. Even a pricey place in SF is going to charge $15. This is true up and down the menu.
If you live on the East Side and really need some sushi, I guess Yuri's it is. But, if you have the option, save a few bucks and go elsewhere.

Yuri offers some really quality sushi. For example, their spider rolls are made with real crabs, no imitation crab stuff. I always order a spider roll as my base with a variety of other rolls. Spicy tuna roll hits the spot; it’s a good contrast between the heat and the soy sauce. Tako salad nigiri is delectable, not bland like some other places. Cherry blossom roll is good too, just to name few. Yuri’s is the place locals go to. They have been at the same location in east side San Jose for over 30 years!

Oh Monty's, you have satisfied me YET AGAIN. I had seen the Mac style fries and had to try them. Came in at about 11:15 am for my burger fix.
I ordered the same thing I did last time but this time added tater tots and the Mac style fries another shake and a cola.
I LOVED the Mac fries. My burger was phenomenal per usual and the cola drink was delicious, my only tiny complaint was too much ice but that's my fault for not mentioning no ice.

It’s a decent place. Just your average Japanese joint in the neighborhood and nothing fancy. The place was pretty cozy. The food was not bad but it’s a bit expensive for what they had to offer. I’ve been to this place for over 10 years now and they are really consistent when it comes to the quality. This place may not be your top 10 but when you run outta ideas, you can always come back here and it won’t disappoint.

I live in this area for 8 years and I saw this Yuri sushi restaurant with the windows cover up and always wonder what's inside. Today, instead of going to JP town; the kids and I decided to give this place a try. Surprisingly the food was very good. The kids an I enjoyed our dinner here at Yuri, much better then the sushi show across the street that's nameless. Our new neighborhood favorite sushi shop, will return and try more. I would like to see more pictures on there menus, I was ordering blind hoping for the best.
