Welcome to the office of Dr. David K. Andrews, DDS and staff. We take pride in delivering quality dental services and most importantly, great customer service! Based out of Piqua, Ohio, we have patients from throughout the Miami Valley who visit us. And, since we're located just off Interstate 75, our office is very easy to find, no matter what direction you're coming from.
Once formed, the enamel can still absorb fluoride to become "stronger", but only by directly applying it to the surface. Dentists and hygienists use a much higher concentration topical fluoride to encourage absorption. Varnishes, gels or foams are the usual delivery methods. Are a plastic based protective coating.
Fillings: Be careful not to bite lip, tongue or cheek while still numb. Numbness may last up to 3 hours. Expect some cold or biting sensitivity for up to two weeks (in some cases it will last longer). Brush and floss as usual. Extractions: Premedicate with an over the counter pain medicine such as acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin) or aspirin an hour before your appointment.
