Gurley St. Grill is one of Prescott's favorite informal restaurants to come in and grab a light fare, enjoy a cold beer at the bar, or celebrate that special family gathering. The historic brick building was originally the Mulvenon Saloon, which was destroyed in the Great Fire of 1900 that leveled most of downtown Prescott.
Many of the bricks were reused, and you can spot a few of the charred ones throughout the interior of the restaurant. At the turn of the century, the upstairs rooms were comfortably furnished and rented by the hour or the day. Today, they serve as private banquet rooms to accommodate small and large parties.

Services
Hand-breaded seasoned beef, fried to perfection and served with a creamy horseradish sauce. Grilled or fried traditional chicken wings with your choice of sauces: Tradition Louisiana Hot, BBQ, Jamaican BBQ, Mango Habanero, Chipotle Hot. Black olives, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, mushrooms and tomatoes on spring mix with grilled salmon.

If the front of house was as good as the back of house.... there is a main entrance out front and a rear entrance where more parking is. So our group of 17 people entered from the back entrance. When we all got in, just 2 other tables were taken, so we sat ourselves since there was no one there and no sign saying please wait to be seated.
When we were finally greeted, the first question was do you all have reservations.... not hello welcome in.
There was almost every effort to make us not want to be there and order any food, we said we were patient, no need to rush anything. But you felt like

What I like about this place is that the food is consistently good, the menu is easy to understand, and you don't leave hungry. The service was friendly, yet a bit slow. I'm not sure if it's just because when I'm there, it's a busy time of year. (The last time it was around Christmas, also after covid I think all restaurants are hurting for staff.)

I was so impressed with the delicious corn chowder. It was just so different and great. Our server Reuben was friendly and helpful and the sandwiches one which was a Reuben served by Reuben (fun) and beef on "weck" were just hot and delicious and the sides were great. I wish I lived close so I could come again. This was a very good experience! Enjoy!

We were there last night and our waitress was in such a hurry for us to order, she asked like 8 times if we were ready to order. (We we're waiting for 2 more to join us) so we weren't going to order before they got there. No issues with the food, but then she brought us the check before asking if we wanted dessert. When my husband asked if they had a dessert menu she seemed put out by that request and said the other day they were out of a lot of stuff.....he said well are they still out of all desserts? We stopped for lunch and were very happy with all of our food. My husband had a cheeseburger that which was so juicy and perfectly cooked it didn't need condiments. My kid's Mac and cheese was incredible and homemade. I had the Sal Lute salad. It was an odd combination of flavors but the salmon was cooked perfectly. Our server was incredible. All around great experience.

Two different occasions. First the food was great, large portions and hot.
Second time a couple days later ordered most of the same. Portions where small-same menu and price, seasonings were off and not to temp.
Was busy either day and lots of staff.
I'd still go back and give it another try though.

They seated a patron with a dog in a backpack carrier (which proves it's not a service animal). What was worse, the diner put the dog on the seat next to her which is completely unsanitary. An actual service animal would be trained to lay down at the owners feet and would never be allowed on the seats. The waitress even looked round and said to them "I don't think anyone will care" - so she knew it was wrong and did it anyway. If they're violating even the most basic food safety standards openly in front of customers, what other health code violations are occurring

Two turkey clubs, 2 soft drinks came to $40.00. Ridiculous
The sandwiches were good but the fries were cold and so hard I thought I would break a tooth.
We had to ask for napkins, silverware, and slow service.
Definitely not worth the money.
My husband and I had a great breakfast at Cracker Barrel for $28.00 . This us where I suggest to go for good reasonably priced food and fast service.

We ate here for the first time, on Sunday. I can’t say enough about this place, and the ladies that were working at the time. The food was amazing. The staff was kind and courteous. They were switching staff in… the middle of us being there and they made sure to let us know what was going on. That’s unheard of now days. We will definitely be making this place part of our regular list of places to eat. Thank you guys for such a nice first time experience. ❤️

My family went to visit a long time friend who has a terminal illness. While looking for a spot to eat dinner, we found the Gurley street Grill. We were seated and handed menus. The waitress took our orders and when the food came, one of the ordered item was missing, it was not entered in the computer by the waitress, she realized her mistake about 15 min. later and came to apologize. I was greeted and sat right away. Drinks took a while but I was checked on very regularly. My server was helpful in making a decision and I was happy that I took her suggestion. I had the Whiskey peppercorn steak and it was cooked perfectly. And very delicious. If you ever get a chance to come to Prescott please take my advice and stop at the Gurley St Grill for a bite. Also the Cadillac margarita was amazing.

The food was absolutely amazing, I am from phoenix and was visiting. We has there beef stroganoff and cajun chicken pasta, both very good sizes and delicious!(Forgot to take pictures) This was breakfast and it was all hot and fresh and perfect. Portion sizes are amazing as well as prices. The atmosphere was very chill, the customer service was outstanding! Our server was so nice and very attentive. The manager was also super nice. I shared with him our experience and he was so happy and thankful. I give this place a 5 star🌟 on everything. We will definitely be back , very great experience!
