Chef Matthew Crawford is a graduate of the Scottsdale Culinary Institute. He has been a chef now for 25 years, with experience at many top restaurants throughout the Southwest. Recently he was chef at one of Las Vegas's best steakhouse, Vic & Anthony's. Matthew is dedicated to creating original entrees that are made with only the freshest ingredients and make guests want more.
The Mother of all Mary's - a double pour of Tito's Vodka, homemade Mary mix, jalapeno bacon wrapped shrimp, cheddar, swiss and pepper jack cheese cubes, celery, pepperoncini, olives and asparagus $19. Have just moved to Prescott and after weeks of unpacking and getting accustomed to a new area and house decided to splurge on dinner out. Murphy's was the fallback choice as the first choice was closed. Treavor, who was our waiter, was cordial enough when taking our order.
You can always tell a good restaurant by the bread it serves. A basket of decidedly uninteresting bread was delivered barely warm to the table and that set the standard for the rest of the meal.

Murphy's is adequate at best. A consistent mediocrity since my first meal there in 1991. Today, a very poorly cooked omelette stimulated a violent rejection by my body. So much so I wonder if it had been contaminated by unwashed bathroom hands. Unfortunate things happen, but the manager did not inspire forgiveness with his off hand response - "others have eaten omelettes today and they weren't sick."

This is the first restaurant we happened upon in Prescott. We were starving after the eventful drive up from Tucson (I-17 closures, and accidents). We walked from our room around the corner, and this place looked inviting, and we weren't wrong. Everyone was so friendly! They made us immediately feel at home in Prescott! The waiter and hostess both gave us a full rundown of what to do and where to eat in town, and the best thing to order on the menu - the house made corned beef ruben! WOW!! Wonderful dining experience at Murphy's. Management accommodated our very large birthday party during a very busy meal time. Our server, Ryan, was was pleasant and efficient delivering all our meals in a very timely, orderly manner. The food was delicious, as usual. Our experience lived up to all our expectations. Love the atmosphere and we got there while happy hour was going on-even better!
I must say they know how to cook seafood- scallops I had last time were to die for so delicious and tonite had the petite prime rib and lobster which were both perfectly cooked.
Our waitress Kelly was very nice and attentive.
Although on the pricey side it is well worth it to my husband and I. Will definitely go back again and again

Was told to try Murphys in Prescott, I was not disappointed. We got there during happy hour, our waitress Karalyn was extremely pleasant and helpful. I got the Al Smith Burger and I'll tell you I have not tasted such a delicious burger in a while. Was pleasantly surprised by the price, we will definitely be coming back everytime we are in prescott. My new favorite place to eat.

Took a friend/couple to Murphy's for his Birthday as we enjoy their happy hour. Sat in Brianna's section, not our first time with her. It was super busy but she took amazing care of us! Food and service was top notch! Will definitely be back and hopefully we get Brianna again, she made us feel so special.

This was our first visit and we had reservations. We were greeted quickly at the door and led to our table. The decor is a nice Victorian/brass and mahogany. Our server was fantastic. She was very friendly and enthusiastic and had great suggestions with the menu. Everybody enjoyed their entrees (Prime rib, bison ragu, elk chop, lobster mac & cheese) and the deserts were delicious too (carrot cake, bread pudding). We will return!

I hardly go to Murphy's anymore because it's so hit and miss that I don't really trust the hits. And today, unfortunately, was another miss. Service was
okay but the food was bland and on the cold side which, for the prices, isn't okay. I did tell the waitress who said, "That's weird." and made no effort past that. So this experience simply reconfirmed how many times I've passed by the restaurant and decided not to venture in.

We were here over Thanksgiving weekend with some family. We had the backroom. Murphy's has a great vibe when you walk in. It was great to see it busy inside. We all arrived and our server was there to help right away. Took our drink orders and provided us with bread (which was really good).
Many of us wanted the prime rib, but heard they were almost out. They opened at 4PM and it was 6PM for our party. So we were a little bummed. A few of us opted for steaks and pork chops.

We really, really like Murphy's. The restaurant is vintage style with big comfortable booths where you can have a private conversation. The staff is professional, prompt and courteous. I only eat protein that swims and Murphy's has a number of "surf" options that are delicious...like the seared scallops! Can't speak for the "turf" entrees, obviously, but my husband liked the prime rib very much. We've been to Murphy's twice and will undoubtedly go again!

This was our 1st time in Prescott and my husband was craving a steak. I Yelped it & came across this restaurant. So glad we decided to come here because the service was good & everything was delicious! The tortilla soup had a nice kick to it, mash potatoes were so creamy, broccolini was perfect, steaks ... AMAZING! Definitely will dine there again.

Food/Beverage; started with raw Oysters, that were fresh and a great starter. The main course ordered a Ribeye, great flavor and cooked to order. The dish is large in size so come with an appetizer. Order a Cocktail from bar, and it was ice cold and hit the spot.

A new favorite place of ours. Came here twice within three days it's that good. Best French Dip by far and had their Signature burger the next visit. Great burger hut love the French dip. Wife had the fresh salad and veggies.
Vibe inside is cool being an old historic building and store. Waiters friendly a d quick service.

Excellent late lunch! Walked over and found the restaurant 2/3 full! At 3:45 PM?? Happy hour included several food options!
My “French Dip” was spectacular! One of the best ever- the roll was most likely baked in house or ???

We tried this place for dinner while visiting from out of town. We were greeted right away and seated. The server got our drink order right away. We ordered the mussels appetizer which was fantastic. They bring you fresh bread and garlic butter to snack on which tasted great.
I ordered the Pork Chop and my partner ordered the Prime Rib, both were cooked to perfection. Also added a Crab Cake which was delicious. For dessert we ordered the Cheesecake and Chocolate Cake. Both were made in house and tasted fantastic. I do not usually like Cheesecake but theirs tasted like homemade. We cannot wait

Do not come here if you: 1) enjoy timely service, or 2) eat vegetarian/vegan.
I’ve never experienced such sad service. I had to take my empty water glass to the bar for a refill. After we ordered, we didn’t see our waitress until after the food arrived about 45 minutes later. Seems like the wait staff isn’t accustomed to waiting on folks. Or rather, they probably weren’t expecting the influx of lunch customers on a Tuesday due to the Raven Cafe’s kitchen being closed for renovations. Pretty sad, and telling, when you’re everyone’s backup plan.

My cousin recommended this spot for dinner on our visit to Prescott. I called to make a reservation for our group of 6 and was told they had nothing available for our desired time slot, but they could get us in an hour later at 7. We arrived early at 6:30, and they were able to seat us. It was pretty busy and can get crowded by the host stand; there is no room to wait anywhere. This is definitely one of the nicer spots for dinner in town. Nice ambience. The service was very good. It may be a bit pricier than other nearby establishments, but I felt it was worth it.
