I normally do not leave reviews but this is a little upsetting. The food is good so that's not what I have a problem with the problem I have is with the delivery service or the delivery driver to be exact. Being a chef and working in the restaurant industry my entire life I understand the tipping struggle But never have I am alive complained to a Customer about the tip or lack thereof. I have ordered from this restaurant several times but roll times but one time I ordered I had let a friend grab some money out of my wallet and not realizing how much they took I ended up having 2 count change to

Always love ordering from here whenever I'm in Medford. The sushi always taste fresh and my tempura has a whole lot of crunch even when. The combination plate does not taste heavy like 'typical' Chinese take out. The food does not seem to be heavily coated and I don't feel sluggish after finishing it up!

Very disappointed with the food. I usually don’t write reviews but This place cannot even make pork fried rice. Awe full. I am so sorry to say, not even a single item was edible. My kids ended eating cereal for dinner. Their favorite dumplings were not to the standard too. Nothing against the restaurant but I got duped by so many good reviews. Very disappointed.

This is yet another "it is what it is" review that gets a high merit. I have dined at Rose's on a few occasions and found it to be very good (for what is).
This is "American Chinese" and I stick with my go-to fav of Kung Pao Chicken and I must say it is dynamite. Great flavor and ideal viscosity sauce and best of all it's 90 percent bird (see PIC). It was cooked fresh to order and served hot AF. This is a five-star situation. Usually KPC is padded out with celery and carrots and whatever just to skimp on the bird resulting in a no-bueno situation.

I'm actually impressed with how bland and boring the food is here. I ordered the chef's special pad thai, which should have been listed on the menu as "sprouts with some noodles", and it barely had any flavor at all. How this place managed to put together noodles, sauce, chicken, pork, and shrimp, and have it taste like almost nothing astounds me. The same can be said about the hot and sour soup. Basically tasted like water with the occasional pepper thrown in. Not sure if it was an off night or what, but seriously, barely any flavor at all in the food.

After having traveled to China many times I learned the difference between "American Chinese" food I grew up with and "Real Chinese" food which is totally different and amazing. Rose's serves American Chinese food, so it's not fair to judge this for anything else. Our first foray here included Beef with Hunan Style Beef with Mixed Vegetables and Fried Dumplings for take-out. Olivia's Review: First of all, I went out of my way to create a Yelp account just to write this review. Not to bring myself into this, but I have been having one of the worst days ever. My order, which was supposed to be vegetable pad Thai, came with chicken!! Not for me, no thanks! Once they brought me the right one, it was sub par. The only thing I liked was the fortune cookie. My fortune was "People make plans; fate makes the plan successful." The plan I am making is to better my quality of life by never ordering Rose's again. FYI, I am trying to help people, not bring anyone

HORRIBLE. I literally could make better Chinese food myself. I ordered something veggie and it came with PORK. mooshy scallion pancakes. The tempura was like unfried pancake batter, the plan white rice was undercooked (yup they managed to mess up white rice). $40 worth of eat in food and the driver just hung out my his car texting rather than walking up to my apartment to help me. Luckily, they did refund me and they did listen to me when I told them the delivery driver was very rude.

We decided to try out another restaurant in our neighborhood (we alwayssss order from shanghai moon) and this was the chosen one. Wrong decision. The house dumplings and spicy/salty calamari were so unappetizing and bland. Chicken fingers and salmon avocado hand roll were fine, but we've had better elsewhere. The dumpling sauce and duck sauce that arrived were watered down, reminding me of sauce you find at a cheap buffet. The delivery man was also 30-40 mins late from the est time, although we only live 10 mins away. Never getting food from here again ever.

Shrimp Tempera Maki Rolls: I order this every time, best choice.
General Gau's Chicken: A sweet and spicy chicken.

Any type of Chow fun: these are the square noodles that are better than the normal noodles
Chicken Wings: This is probably the best deal because these wings are huuge, cheap and tasty. Remember to ask for their homemade duck sauce for this one.

Some of the dishes are great, but every time I decide to try something new I am always rather disappointed. Stick to the big traditional dishes (house fried rice, general gao's chicken, orange chicken, etc.) but some of the other stuff on their huge menu is really not that great. Delivery/preparation time is amazing though, they're always ready in about 5-10 minutes, literally.

I love that Rose's has sushi and American Chinese food. This is the perfect way to please everyone in my family. The portions are a great value, especially the dinner combos. The food is good but not amazing which is why I gave 4 stars.
I've only ordered food from Rose's via Grub Hub & all deliveries have been quick and accurate.

I'm chinese and don't often have a craving for Americanized chinese takeout. For some reason, I've been on a kick lately to look for a decent place near home. I have been putting off this place because the photos and reviews weren't very great, but saw the 5star reviews today and gave them a try.
Unfortunately, the other places near home (though mediocre) is by far better...
The fried rice was severely undercooked and flavorless. Pork in the rice was dry.

Rose's seems to be the only Chinese restaurant in the immediate vicinity of Tufts University, so there is that. They also do delivery, there that's pretty cool. Generally, Rose's delivers on time, and the food is intact.
However, the ambiance of the place is terrible. They also serve sushi here (apparently), but I've never had the stuff. It's an uncomfortable degree of warm in here, and the seats are kind of sketchy. The staff aren't too friendly either, but this understandable since most of the people working here are first generation Chinese.
