I started out about age 11-12 as the neighborhood kid leaning on the fender of all the hot rods of all the older guys watching them fix their cars. Soon I became the helper holding things or handing them tools. Eventually started helping them and when I got a car at age 15 started working on my cars.
It was by necessity more than anything. I didn't make enough money as a dish washer to be able pay someone to fix my cars. So I learned by trial and error. In my late 20's I worked for a high end car stereo and security shop doing high end stereo systems, security systems and electronics. I learned that honesty and integrity were more important than making money by deceit.

Extremely satisfied with my auto (Nissan 370Z Touring) repair. Texas heatwave and a worn out plastic hose caise the Z to lose its zip. I initially spoke with Glenn (owner) after being referred by a friend. SJ Car Care fixed my problem in less time than one could watch the movie Fast & Furious. Very personable and knowledgeable service.

Glenn is the owner and the mechanic. He's HONEST. He only does the work that you need/want and he actually DOES the work! His prices are very fair and reasonable. He's my first call for all my cars - even my Corvette. I trust Glenn more than all but one other mechanic that I know. He's my first call and top recommendation. This shop is a diamond in the rough!

This is my kind of mechanic shop, plainspoken and upfront! Glenn is awesome about answering questions I have and explaining what's going on with my car. Oil changes, A/C repair, replacing head gaskets... He has always laid out the options very clearly for me. If it's Problem A causing it to overheat he'll apply Solution A, but if it's actually Problem B he'll need to apply Solution B. I cannot express how empowering it feels to understand more about my car. He has not wasted any money on a fancy waiting area, however, if that is one of your criteria for a car shop.

He's may be a one man operation; but he's affordable, honest, and affable. I got a light installed and had an oil change. It was one of the quickest, most transparent oil changes I've ever had. He laid out the filter and the oil (synthetic blend in single bottles) one by one so i could see I was getting the right product in the right amounts. He then drained it and showed me the old oil and filter before filling it up. You can't really ask for more than that.
