In 1996, the Zavalas opened their doors at 611 W. Park Row Dr. in the UTA area. After months of struggling to stay alive the Star Telegram ran a story featuring La Isla Restaurant as the new kid on the block. 22 years later we are still standing. Located in the heart of Arlington, La Isla Restaurant brings a passion to cooking that you don't find in many restaurants.

What ever dish you select you will not be disappointed. We have the most delicious menu of Tex-Mex and Mexican Fusion food items available in the area of Arlington. Our restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance and friendly staff that will ensure you have a pleasant dining experience. My parents brought me here for dinner and I was trepidatious.

Lately everytime I go the salsa is rotten and recently we got food to go and the salsa was of course rotten and there was a roach in the tarter sauce they lack a lot of sanitation lately!!

The worst food ever. These guys don't even try… i ordered the cocktel de camarones, camarones a la diabla and ceviche and one could tell that all of shrimps were steamed. Expensive and not worth the money. I never write reviews but this was really really bad. Stay away.

Pros:
The staff, including our waitress, was very kind, helpful, and attentive!
There was no wait to be seated.
The menu had a pretty large variety of options on it, including options for kids who lean on the picky side and seafood lovers.
Prices were reasonable and they gladly made small substitutions for me at no extra cost.
Plenty of parking available.
Cons:
None that I noticed, other than the TVs being a bit too loud for us

The restaurant could use an upgrade, just out of date and the all red walls wasn't very cute. We arrived at 2:58 and the server did not want to honor the 3pm lunch cut-off. I ordered the Chile Relle with cheese and it was quite delicious. The charro beans were very flavorful. My partner ordered the shrimp cocktail. The oysters did not taste fresh and the octopus was too rubbery. Each beer ordered came with a cold glass with a michelada mix around the rim. They did not have flan available, even though it was on the menu. The restroom has 2 toilets wit a bag over one of them, it was not very appealing

Absolutely disgusting. Ceviche was not prepared properly and made me vomit. Waitress was a huge b**** and gave me a dirty soda with grime from where you would drink from. I told her about the soda, and she returned the soda exactly how it was and did not give me a new one.

Awesome beer and cocktail with shrimp, octopus! Mex food never small and catfish big plate. Waiters always ask 10min 15min and time.

Service wasn't the best and it took long to receive our food even though there was only one other table besides us. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and enchiladas. Shrimp cocktail was ok, enchiladas were salty. The place looked kind of dirty in general. No toilet paper or paper towels in the bathroom.

This place was dead when I entered and the staff was a bit overbearing. The food was pretty good. However a bit unnecessary on the extra charge on small things. Their camarones a la diabla were a bit disappointing. Don't know if I would go again. Maybe for their horchata, it was pretty good.
