Dr. Lewis was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. After high school he went to Idaho State University where he met his wife, Diane. They were married in 2001 before they headed east to Cleveland, Ohio where he went to dental school at Case Western Reserve University. After graduating in 2007 he came back to Idaho to practice.

I had been a happy patient of Morning Star Dental since Dr. Lewis built his Star office. Imagine my dismay today when he informed me (due to some recent risk assessment seminar) that I could not get my routine teeth cleaning without agreeing to a "recommended" periodontal assessment, nor sign a waiver absolving him of responsibility for what he labeled substandard care, which "might" jeopardize his malpractice insurance - see the tail wag the dog. Shame on you, Dr. Lewis! As a native Idahoan, I'd expect you to respect & defend personal liberty & bodily autonomy. The good news...you were easily

My family has been with Morning Star for 2 years. Earlier today, my daughter broke her tooth and was in pain so we asked if they could see her in an emergency. Called and was told the earliest they could see her was about a week from now. Seriously? Called North Star Dentistry and they'll be seeing her first thing in the morning.

Needed a crown after a root canal on a molar. My insurance benefits had been used up for the year, so I had to pay out of pocket.
Received quotes from three local dentists, but Dr. Lewis was the only one that suggested keeping the old crown and filling it, keeping costs down for me, significantly. Instead of $1500, it was $180.00.
I appreciate Morning Star Dental for excellent and friendly service, as well as for their heart of making it work for me.

We were suspicious after Gentle Dental (a different dentist) told us our daughter needed 10 fillings after they had filled 7-6 months earlier. Apparently, dentists working there must meet a quota and they were using our daughter to meet it. I went to Morning Star dental to review her records. Gentle dental refused to send the xrays and Morning Star took xrays without insurance payment. He said the potential cavities-and cavities previously filled - were so new they they could be prevented with good preventative care. What a relief to find an honest dentist!!!
