I am a documentary style photographer, all about capturing raw, natural emotions on your best days. I will cry with you, laugh with you, and dance with you (but only if you want me to). I am based in East TN, but I love to travel for any reason, especially for elopements and destination weddings. I love a good sunrise session in the mountains, a road trip to someplace new, or getting knee deep in freezing cold water in front of a waterfall.

Macie was amazing, she made us feel right at home. We were on vacation from Florida, never had family photos done before. We are blown away at how amazing they have turned out. I would recommend her to anyone. We had a baby with us and she was very patient with him to get the shots we wanted.

Macie was amazing! She was sooo sweet. I love how our family pictures turned out. She was super helpful with poses and what to do along with doing certain pics we wanted. She was great with my son. I would definitely recommend her if you are going to Tennessee and want professional pictures done!!

Macie is amazing!! She is super professional, yet makes your experience so personal. We got our pics back SO QUICKLY- like surprisingly quickly!! We will be using her for all of our professional pics from now on. My husband normally hates getting his picture taken but as soon as we got in the car after our session he told me that was the first time he had ever felt comfortable in front of the camera. She even stood around talking to us after our session and asked if we wanted to go back for MORE PICS as the sun started setting so perfectly during our chat with her. I can’t recommend Macie enough

We had a shoot with Macie and the experience was incredible! From signing up, submitting payment, directions to the spot, and the shoot itself, the process was seamless. Macie even worked around our 6 month old and helped carry our props to different spots. The day was incredible, she provided great references for hair, makeup, and florists. We will certainly utilize her service again in the future and truly can't thank her enough for the lifelong memory she was able to provide.

I absolutely loved working with Macie since our first conversation on the phone. She was very accommodating with us as some family members have trouble getting around and couldn't go to certain trails for photos. I had a vision for our wedding photos and Macie effortlessly achieved it with those accommodations. She even waited an extra 20 minutes while my family got lost in the mountains. (No cell service) The whole process from booking to receiving photos was stress free and really couldn't have gone any better. We even got a sneak peek at photos just a few days later on our honeymoon. Thank you

We can't recommend Macie/Chasing Lux Photo enough! Not only is she an extremely talented photographer, but she is so easy and professional to work with as well. She took our engagement and wedding photos, and we are obsessed with how they turned out. My family and friends keep telling us that our wedding pictures look like a Bridal magazine feature because of how beautiful and high-quality the are. Don't hesitate on hiring her - she's amazing.
