Do you have a buzzy brain? Have you ever wished you could make just ONE of those million ideas jumping in your brain hold still long enough to make it actually happen? There's a therapist in Oakland who knows how you can. What if you could learn WHY you have trouble with these things, and what if you knew that it's not your fault (or your parents' fault)?
What if you had the tools to manage these things, instead of thinking bad things about yourself? Sidney Mullen is a therapist in Oakland who works with adults with ADHD. She combines years of therapy practice, the soul of an artist and extensive specific understanding of how ADHD affects every aspect of life.

Services
The most important part of choosing your therapist is spending an hour with them in their office. That way can you have an experience of what you feel when you are sitting with that person. What is it like to be there? Can you bring up the topics that have been on your mind? Or do you find that suddenly you aren't comfortable talking?
Some people self-diagnose after hearing or reading about ADHD or after their child has been diagnosed. The condition in adults, when undiagnosed and untreated for years, frequently has led to feelings of low self-worth, anxiety, depression, and even despair at not fitting in with the people around you, not being able to develop a satisfying career, and difficulties in close relationships.
Some people distrust the concept of therapy in the first place, and usually have compelling personal reasons for that feeling. Their experience in life may never have included a mutually respectful relationship. Therapy is a particular protected space where you can hear your true thoughts in your own voice as you say them out loud to someone who is listening.
My fee for a standard 50-minute psychotherapy session is $160 per hour. I also have a limited number of appointments available at a reduced rate based on financial need. Please contact me to discuss your situation and available appointment times. In my experience, the best way to to tell whether I might be a good therapist for you is to evaluate in person.

She's a nice lady who likes to interpret dreams although every single one we discussed she said was about the revelations and transformations her therapy sessions were offering, even though I've had better therapist before and since. Overly sensitive and defensive to criticism as well although this was a few years ago so maybe she's evolved.
