They do good work and are very honest. For oil changes and tires they are a must.If you have a problem. Make sure you know they charge 145.00 per hour for diagnostic work. That is more than most dealerships in this area. I was willing to drop 600 to find out if my car has an actual problem or not.

Ok this rating is not based off of just one review. I have been to this place at least three or four different times for both minor and major repairs. I've been there for a simple oil change which they do extremely well and I have been there after going to the dealership and having the dealership screw up my vehicle. A dealership which will remain nameless but which sends much of their business to this repair shop did brake work on my vehicle. They put my brakes back on my vehicle incorrectly so that the break stub from the rotors was it sticking out and they tightened the wheel back down

Brown tire got some locking lug-bolts off my spare tire that the dealership couldn't do. Then I went back to get my tire sensors re hooked up. They put on 2 new ones and hooked them all back for a quarter of the amount my dealership was gonna charge me. Saved me money and got it done in no time. Very happy! Thank you Todd!

This local owned shop is always busy and always delivering great customer service. When I do an unexpected drop in (flat tire) engine light, etc., they will always get me in. When the resolution takes a day they communicate with me easily. Their wait area is comfortable and their quality is great. I'm a road warrior and need oil changes all the time too. This is a great stop for that too.

I stopped by today 5.18.2019 to get my brakes looked at without an appointment. Steve and Kayla were super helpful and fit me in right away. After thinking I might have serious brake issue the cane to tell me I only needed my rotors trimmed and it would cost $91.00.
Super trustworthy and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing tires or brake work.

Went in for tire repair and oil change was told I needed rear shocks $380 I told them this was a company car so I had to get approval to fix. My boss wanted second estimate so I went elsewhere to get that to find out to my surprise the car is fine and does NOT need shocks good thing this was not my car because I might of authorized repair then got ripped off

We were visiting family in Valpo and woke up the day after Thanksgiving to find our front tire completely flat. The staff at Brown Tire was super friendly, and helpful. We called ahead and they were ready when the tow truck brought our car over. They were extremely upfront about the repair options and got the tire replaced in almost no time at all. It was a Thanksgiving miracle - thanks Brown Tire!

I had an issue with some new Michelin tires . I had an open claim with Michelin and the next step was to take my truck to an authorized dealer .
I try to support my local small businesses whenever possible so I started here .
When I called to explain the situation to the gentlemen , I was actually taken back at how rude and negative he was . He actually sounded like he wasn't interested in the job at all. I would never consider this company for anything ever again , apparently he thought I might be a big waste of time . Unfortunately for them I took my business elsewhere and was taken
