In 2014, the state of California signed into law Proposition 47 (Prop47), which made significant changes to the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. The aim of Prop 47 was to relax some laws, including drug possession laws, by declassifying some felony charges to misdemeanors. This inherently also decriminalized "simple possession" of controlled substances.
Assault and battery is a phrase that is commonly heard, but the two words are actually separate crimes. California assault and battery laws apply in criminal law and civil law, but this article will focus on assault and battery laws in the California Penal Code.

Both crimes are serious offenses that can result in harsh penalties and a permanent record, so if you're currently facing charges for either assault or battery, it is imperative that you work with a criminal defense attorney.According to California Penal Code 240, assault is defined as intentionally attempting to injure another physically.

Positive: Professionalism
I’ve worked in this industry for over 20 years and people like Alison are often hard to come by. She’s both ethical and tenacious. She operates in balance of both her head and heart. Any family working with Alison is truly blessed and in the best of hands.

Alison took over a case that had been grossly underrepresented by 2 separate other so called lawyers; Alison expeditiously resolved the issue that had been unnecessarily prolonged. Alison fought for truth and justice to prevail.
Alison treated us with dignity; she treated us like human beings; she empathized with the fragile mental state I had been reduced to in our fight against the unwarranted charges; she consoled me and immediately went to work on the case; her communication, assurances, and professionalism were a relief to me.
I call Alison the "mothering" lawyer; she lawyers with the care

She helped my husband who had a suspended license for 100 years. She did an exceptional job, it was a very tangled case our previous lawyer really mixed up everything she was great at figuring everything out she made her plan set her mind to it and accomplished what seemed nearly impossible to us. I am grateful I found Alison to represent us she's an outstanding lawyer without a doubt she proved nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it, I highly without any doubt recommend Alison to anyone looking to see results she is great at her job and communication with others like the D.A and
