Joseph Motta Attorney At Law
I treat my clients like family. As their expert legal advocate, I fight for the justice they deserve. In 20 years, I've never faced an opponent with more trial experience than me. I don't get intimidated and have beaten large defense firms representing huge insurance companies, winning multi-million dollar awards.

I help my clients by helping restore their lives to the best of my ability. Driven by my passion for advocacy, I strive in every case to gain the best possible outcomes for my clients, supporting them and relieving them during difficult times. Joe Motta specializes in catastrophic injury and wrongful death caused by accidents, negligence or a defective product.
Services
Our law firm is small, focused and tenacious. What causes us to rise to each day and every challenge is the fervent desire to achieve results for our clients. We are impassioned by the role of legal advocate and counselor. We bring the commitment to serve, the depth of experience and the necessary resources to fully represent our clients and pursue their claim.
I am not afraid of anyone. It is my utmost priority to achieve a fair and just result for my clients. I carry a strong sense of loyalty to my clients and treat them like family. I have yet to face an opposing lawyer with more jury trial experience than me and I've enjoyed winning many hard-fought battles to protect the rights of my clients.
When you or a family member has been injured, your first concern is and should be about getting the appropriate medical care. When you are still suffering from the pain and shock of an accident, it is not a good time to discuss an accident claim with anyone - except your personal injury attorney. Do not talk to an insurance adjuster or anyone else before you talk to us.
Serious catastrophic injuries can leave permanent disabilities. Even basic daily activities can prove difficult when you have sustained a catastrophic injury. Many victims of brain injuries and spinal cord injuries become overwhelmed with medical expenses and are unable to recover financially because their disability prevents them from working or earning a livelihood.
Joe Motta has helped clients suffering from a catastrophic Brachial Plexus injury. Only one percent of all patients admitted to acute hospitals with multiple traumatic injuries have a brachial plexus injury. Associated injuries include fracture and dislocation of the shoulder, cervical spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, and internal thoracic injuries including rib fractures.

I was injured on a bicycle and Joe was a reliable expert who handled my case with grace and care. I ended up settling my case for much more than I thought was possible.

Joe puts his clients' needs first and I would recommend him to anyone who needs help.

Almost two (2) years ago, my husband was in a terrible cycling accident. Thankfully, his injuries were not life threatening, but he did endure fractured bones and irreparable injuries to his hand, not to mention the continued hesitant of returning to his favorite exercise activity - cycling. After completing extensive physical therapy and physical healing, we contacted Mr. Motta. From our first meeting with him, we knew we had made the right choice. Joe, as he asked us to address him, was incredibly knowledgeable and empathetic of the trauma that the accident had on our lives. He explained to

The experience I had with this office was totally unprofessional and went on WAY too long to find that there was nothing they could help with. The lack of expertise was overwhelmingly disappointing and they were to accomplish tasks, never did and now there is no response.

On February 29, 2012, I sat in a jail cell when only one day prior I contemplated suicide. I was engulfed with thoughts common for us recovering addicts that I couldn't bear. I made a choice that day that I couldn't explain, a choice that changed the course of my life. I committed a crime to obtain more of what I thought I needed, a crime that was not in my character - I was addicted. I begged for help, but many turned their backs. Then I called Joe and he greeted me with the warm comfort I had known from before. You see, years prior he had represented me in another matter; a matter that

Joe was there when I needed legal help. He guided me through the process and was very patient and reassuring. He didn't sugarcoat anything but in the end my result was massively better than what I was expecting. I'm truly grateful for Joe's help. He knows the system and the players. If I need help in the future joe will be my first call.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Motta in the community before contacting him to help me with my accident and injury. He is one of the most forthright, caring individuals I know. He truly cares about his clients and he is the BEST when it comes to representing his clients.
He has vast experience in the court system from his years of service as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County.
He was able to get me an incredible settlement and was able to make the process easy to understand along the way. He is the guy you want in your corner if you find your self in a difficult situation!
