I moved into Woodbury Garden Apartments in beginning of September 2021. For context, I live in an upgraded 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit. Honestly, I have no complaints! It’s a great neighborhood. I have a now 5 month old puppy that I take to the dog park 2-3 times per day since I work from home and it’s amazing! It’s a great quick and easy way for him to get all of his energy out with the rest of the doge that live in the neighborhood. I have had to file 2 repair requests and both have been addressed in a timely manner. Throughout the move in process I worked closely with Jenna (she’s great

STAY AWAY.
Management could not care less about you. insect infestation from the near by trees, waiting for 3 weeks for someone to come spray. When maintenance came in to "check", they opened the window and thousands of bugs came in... guess who was left the clean the room for hours even though I asked them to not open the window!!!
Management is ok with us not being able to open a window for 3-4 weeks.. all they care is about your money.
Did I mention the bees in the drywall? Or the 4 leaks with mold in the basement in the last 18 months?
I can already see the response to this review.. something

This is the second time I've leased at Woodbury Gardens. Each time it has been simple and easy to sign up and move in. The complex is one of the nicer ones in Ann Arbor and the location is prime! You definitely get what you pay for with Woodbury. They make an apartment complex feel like a neighborhood community. 10/10 recommend.

This will be a long and fair review. I lived there for four years. I've seen a few responses from the management claiming people who left poor reviews never lived there, everything they complained about was resolved in 24 hrs (never my experience), etc. I have documented emails and my lease agreement to prove otherwise. I can also vouch that they hold raffles for people who leave good reviews for discounted rent; it's weird that Jack (see below) knew this but supposedly never lived there. A little background on me: I'm from a family raised to be self-sufficient and appreciative of those who help

Pros:
- Fair price for location
- Maintenance is fast and effective
- Dog park
- Lots of amenities and fun events
- Very safe neighborhood
Cons:
- The biggest con for this community is probably that it is a bit farther from UM campus for students, but this could also be a plus because you get less partying and more quiet.
ALSO... the leasing office is not very understanding of residents situation during the pandemic. I am a low income student and over the pandemic I unexpectedly lost my job and had new financial concerns due to the pandemic. I contacted the leasing office twice letting

We were lucky enough to snag one of the updated units compared to our fellow Woodbury counterparts. Nice community for young families and grad students away from rowdy undergrads. Maintenance are on top of it. Only cons were a bit too pet friendly (a pro for others), lack of sound insulation, poor heat circulation, and management staff culture although very responsive, gave a bit of a stand-offish vibe toward residents. Special mention to the after office hour-front desk worker, Jeff, who was always friendly and helpful.

Great place to live! We moved here to get a dog and it's worked out really well, plus I use the amenities a lot more than I thought! I do the free breakfast everyday, study in the clubhouse, work out at the gym, etc. Also on convenient bus lines to campus and downtown but the shuttle is great too. Awesome community!

As an undergraduate transfer student, moving to a city like Ann Arbor was a little chaotic and intimidating. I had to choose between apartments, and ended up landing at Woodbury Gardens. I thought I would regret living here at first because of rent costs, but the community and the amenities remind me why Woodbury has something pretty special going for it. My favorite parts of Woodbury are the sense of community, The accessible transportation, and the breakfast. Everyone gets along very well here, and a shuttle drops you off to wherever you need to be on campus. Also, the breakfast has eggs. It

I moved to Woodbury Gardens during my second year of graduate school. My boyfriend and I have been very happy with the experience so far. The dog-friendly factor was huge for us and they installed a dog park for residents, so the entire community has been a great environment for our adopted pup. The apartments are clean and spacious and we have had no issues with heating or cooling in the space. Woodbury has their own maintenance staff so they respond very quickly to any service requests, and the administrative staff that work in the clubhouse are friendly faces. I have used the pool and gym on

I moved to Woodburry Gardens last summer. They were very cooperative and helped me to finish all the paper work before i arrived to Ann Arbor. Thus, upon arrival, we got the key and checked in (we did not need to rent a hotel room). Sarah and her colleagues always go beyond expectation. I brought my 4 kids with me. The place is 100% kids friendly. Many play grounds in the areas. Snow outside, kids can go to clubhouse for chess, PCs, games, and others. The clubhouse: Gym, PCs, fuss ball, table tennis, billiards and free breakfast!

Woodbury Gardens has been a wonderful home to my wife, myself, and our puppy. Our dog particularly loves the beautiful landscaping, while my wife and I love the quiet, calm, and awesome community setting. I especially recommend Woodbury Gardens to students and faculty at the University of Michigan! The shuttle service makes this a perfect place to live while spending time in Ann Arbor.

Woodbury garden is really a nice place to live. I come here for studying in UM and happened to live here. The clean community, the friendly neighbor and the warm service from the management office are all as good as expected. Also it is very convinient to go to the campus.
Spring is coming and am looking forward to enjoying a more beartiful garden.I can definitely say that living here will be one of the important parts of memories in my mind.

I haven't had any problems in my 3 months here. I've heard that some units aren't as nice and some people have had issues with management, but the one I share with my three roommates is nice, and management has been helpful for any questions I've had. The surrounding neighborhood and people here have been very friendly. The clubhouse with a common area, game room, pool, and occasional resident events is a nice bonus.

TERRIBLE!
Let me start this review off by saying that the sales team is extremely impressive! They return calls to potential customers, smile, show you the "amenities," and are happy to help you with anything they can.... UNTIL YOU SIGN A LEASE.
1) The model apartment is completely renovated and looked NOTHING like the old, dated, and worn-down apartment we received.
2) The amenities look amazing before you sign, but buyer beware. Within the last 6-months they have discontinued use of the grill, made new pet policies that restrict pets, and discontinued fruit at breakfast.

Woodbury is quite overpriced, but what aggravates me the most is their emphasis on calling themselves "luxury." My apartment is the most haphazard place I've ever lived (including student housing). The bathroom is moldy, the interior door hinges are rusty, the cabinets are cheap, the dishwasher is ancient and very loud, the outlets are poorly placed, and any conversation you have in your apartment is easily heard in the hallway. I could go on and on, but you get the picture.
They brag about free continental breakfast, but every few weeks I get an email from their "concierge

I lived here for two years while I was in grad school for my M.S. I really enjoyed Woodbury. It was clean, spacious, pet friendly, and had a lot of amenities, which was what I was looking for. I would say the residents are a mix of families, grad students, and young professionals, and in general it's very quiet - my neighbors and I usually kept to ourselves, but I still knew who they all were and we were friendly to each other. I did sometimes hear people in the stairwell and (randomly) in my bathroom, but otherwise it was fine.
They just got a new activities concierge, and it seems like

I really want to give this place three stars because I personally prefer the character that comes in an apartment in a house in the Old West Side, but I think that would be unfair. Woodbury is actually well-maintained and good for what it is. You know McMansions? Well, these are McApartments.
Side by side, all the apartments look the same. Inside they have clean, crisp grey carpeting along with vertical venetian blinds. They have a little gym that has a step machine, free weights, and an elliptical machine.
You have to pay for utilities, but they tend to give you back your security deposit
