Todd was born and raised in Weaverville (actually about 150 feet up the hill from his shop, and no he does not still live there.) Todd has been taking things apart since a very young age, and as he grew older he became good at putting them back together as well. His professional career started in 2004 and has been strictly Volkswagen and Audi.

I did an exhaustive search and screening when looking for a shop for my TDI wagon. There was no competition that even came close to VW Specialties. They are professional and IMO honest. They genuinely care about their customers and do quality work at a price that the average Joe can afford. 👍👍

Always love the service and customer care. VW Specialties has been caring for my Passat for over 12 years..wouldn't consider taking it to anyone else! Todd, Jennifer and the crew are just awesome!!! I have 2 VW's and I will not take them anywhere else! I have wanted a great place to take my cars for a long time. VW Specialties were easy to book with, have a GREAT system of letting you know what needs to be done (with a simple accept/decline system), and they really know what they are doing!! Couldn't recommend them anymore. Not to mention I needed to pick my car up right when they opened so Jennifer at the front desk got there EARLY so I could pick it up when I needed to. Very lovely people.

I feel so lucky to have found this mechanic!! They are truly honest and have integrity. Customer service is the best I've ever received from a mechanic and the price transparency and communication I've received from them is extremely appreciated. I used to always use the VW Dealership mechanic but I'll definitely never go back there after using VW Specialties.

The owner failed to tell me that the $600 worth of engine work he was doing would have been covered under warranty has I gone to a dealership. Integrity is lacking and I would not trust someone who just wants to make a buck. Who knows what else he lied about. As a female who is vulnerable in my lack of knowledge with cars, I’m so sick of people like him who fail to be honest. NEVER WILL USE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND. Had he been honest he would have had my business for life.

I reached out to a friend in the repair business looking for a recommendation for replacing the brake booster on my VW. He pointed me towards VW Specialties and, incredibly, they are very close to my home. After sending them an email, I got a phone call where we discussed my needs and the best available dates for repairs.
I dropped my car off after dark, and I was pleased to find the drop box is not only secure, but well lit for safety and it made completing my intake form much easier. Once they got my car in, I was called, given a diagnosis, and they even sent me a link to their diagnostic system

Todd, Jennifer, and everyone at VW Specialties is friendly, professional, and know how to get the job done! I've gone to them for oil changes, and recently had a big 120k mile service done on my Jetta TDI. He put cheap breaks on my Audi. He confirmed what was obvious which was that he put after market breaks on my q5, but he did not have accurate records to tell me what parts he actually put on. He told me he would call his parts distributor and get back to me, which of course he did not. Really unhappy with these breaks and the way he handled my concern with them.
