Services
Sunrise Properties was developed by four women with a combined 40 years of experience servicing rental properties in South County. After working in bookkeeping and accounting, Kim Churas began her real estate career in 2003. Kim's daughter, Kara Churas, joined shortly after. Heather Kelley joined the team in 2009 as an intern but soon became a permanent and valued part of the team.

We were looking for a seaside staycation and Sunrise delivered! The pictures on the website left no surprises as to what we were getting, the place was exactly what we were expecting. The keyless entry was a huge bonus as it made checking-in very convenient and socially distant. The property was very clean and in a great location. Heather was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and super responsive to our questions as they came up. Highly recommend.

Kara and Kim at Sunrise RI Beach rental agency were so helpful. They asked questions to find out the type of waterfront rental we were looking for (beach view, modest size, comfortable for kids) and had several options in Narragansett, Charlestown, RI. We selected a great place that suited us so well and we felt very comfortable with the way everything was handled and how clean the house was too. Very easy. Definitely recommended!!

Update: Kara reached out to me directly to provide some more clarity as to what happened with our rental situation. Kara was able to accept responsibility for the harsh nature in which we were initially met with when our reservation was changed last minute. We do understand that COVID put Sunrise in a difficult situation and while the manner in which the problem was initially dealt with was not positive, Kara did her best to try and make it up to us which we appreciate. The property in which we stayed was well-maintained and in a great location. Despite the issues, we did enjoy our stay in this

I was helped by Kim and her team for a 6-month rental period last December. I was quite desperate to find a right one for my family as soon as I arrived from overseas. Despite the short notice and the less preferred rental period, Kim successfully managed to find the one for us.
She carefully listens to customers’ needs, effectively communicates between owners and tenants, and kind-heartedly provides even beyond what customers think.

Renting in Rhode Island is no small task. Though the state's is a bit smaller than most, in the past few ideas I have found great peace of mind when working with Sunrise Properties. Organized, generous, and thoughtful are three words I think accurately describe Kim and her team. They are more than equipped to deal with any problems or unusual circumstances and are incredibly creative in solving them.
