Great experience, wayne performed a number of pre-buy inspections for me on some used cars I was looking at on Craigslist, he was super honest and competent, overall a pleasure to work with. I had him do some small maintenance on the car I ended up buying, got me in and out under in well under an hour and tried to undercharge me for the work but i insisted he charge me a full hour's labor, anywhere else would have charged me multiple hours labor for the work (i had called around for quotes on the work he did). After reading the reviews on Yelp, I wanted to see if Wayne could find the source of a ticking in my drivers' side tire. I just dropped in, and he was able to check it out right then. I was so concerned that something was broken, or it was dangerous to drive ... but after driving my small SUV, he determined that the sound was coming from the wheel skin snapped onto my tire rim was flexing. He removed it, and the sound disappeared. Amazing. This is after I had gone somewhere that removed my tire looking for the problem, but was stumped. Wayne didn't charge me for his time .. and

Wayne recently fixed my beloved 1998 Chevy Malibu, my first trip ever to him (but not my last!). I bought the car brand new in 1998. It has been rock solid. I gave it to my teenage daughter just over a year ago with 214,000 miles. It has 225,000 miles now. My husband wanted to junk it because the control arm had rusted out. The nicest and most honest mechanic I've dealt with. I started going to him when I moved into the area due to the tremendous reviews he got on yelp and I must say the reviews are spot on. I first brought my car to him for brakes, and paid 2/3 for the job that I've been paying for the past 5 years... that was a really nice surprise. But being the doubter I am, I figured he was using cheaper materials or something to cut costs and not charge me as much. I brought a used car that I was considering purchasing by Wayne's shop for a look over. Not only did he fit me in with no advanced notice, he caught a sizable rusty hole in the underbody, and charged me less than half of what other places would for an inspection. After purchasing the car, I brought the car back for him to repair the hole and he did a great job for a very low price. Thanks Wayne and Luis!

Wayne is by far and away the best mechanic I've ever encountered. My whole family started going to him for car troubles when we moved up to Methuen and even now that we've moved closer to Boston, we still make the trek up there because he just can't be beat. Super friendly, attentive, obviously knows his stuff, and his pricing is incredibly fair. I would definitely recommend Wayne's Auto.

I decided to go to Wayne's Auto based on the other positive reviews on Yelp. My car was occasionally making screeching noises upon start up and even had smoke coming out of the steering column. When I brought my car to the Mitsubishi dealership a month earlier, they couldn't identify the problem-- assuming it was a belt issue even though they said the belts looked fine. They couldn't replicate the screeching noises and asked me to leave my car with them a third time to try to see the problem in action. Wayne and Louis are fantastic. My car was making weird noises. I brought it in during lunch time and they quickly diagnosed the problem. Once they realized that it was going to take longer than 1 hour to fix it, they generously offered me a ride back to my office. By the time I picked it up, I was afraid that they were going to charge me a lot of money for their work. However, to my pleasant surprise, they are incredibly honest and only charged a very modest fee. Now my car works like a charm. Highly recommend Wayne to anyone.

I had my van dropped off at Wayne's as it broke down over the weekend. This was my first time using them but had read the great reviews on Yelp. By the time I had called on Monday he had already looked at it and had a price ready for me. He was flexible with my schedule and able to look at it the same day. He was upfront and gave the real picture of what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. It should be ready next week and hopefully back to 'new'.

I have been going to Wayne for years. Wayne is by far the best mechanic. I used to drive 45 mins each way because he is the most honest mechanic in MA. If he says a job takes 3 hrs of work it actually took 3 hours of work. There is no b.s. Even when he is busy he still tries to help everyone he can. Can't say enough about the man.

I was looking at a used car in Methuen. Checked yelp, saw the good reviews for Wayne, called him up. I wanted him to give it a 'once-over'. He said bring it over any time (very short notice, very nice of him). I dropped it off, picked it up an hour later. He had a comprehensive list of items that needed repairing. The price was less than half of what I expected.
