Services
Professional teeth cleanings are scheduled twice a year, while X-rays are normally done once a year. Still, depending on what your dentist or dental hygienist observes in your mouth, they might do other exams during your visit. For children, a dentist may recommend molar sealants to help prevent cavities in hard-to-brush areas.
If you get a cavity in one of your teeth, your dentist is probably going to recommend getting a filling as soon as possible to ward off infection and shore up your tooth. There are several different kinds of materials used for dental restorations, but the most common types of fillings are amalgam and composite (or composite resin).
If one of your teeth is damaged, your dentist may recommend a dental crown to address the situation. A popular choice is the CEREC crown, which is often made out of a very strong ceramic and is designed, created, and installed using computer-assisted technology. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They're often made from porcelain or resin-composite materials and are permanently bonded to your teeth. Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.
Teeth whitening is the removal of stains and discolorations from the enamel and dentin. The outer layer of the tooth is enamel, and beneath the enamel is dentin. Enamel is thin and typically much lighter in color, while dentin is darker in color and makes up the bulk of the tooth. Enamel can be discolored over time simply from age, but also from outside sources like coffee, tea, tobacco, and other foods and beverages.

My partner went here when he had a filling pop out. They were able to fix it, but at the time it was days before his current insurance plan ran out (he turned 26). However, they told him that his insurance actually still covered procedures (he also had several cavities that needed to be done) and told him that if he wanted to come back and get the other cavities fixed that he would be covered. Well months later he goes in for his very last cavity filling (out of like 7) and they told him that the insurance called their office and informed them that he actually HASN'T been covered this entire

I went in for a teeth cleaning. The place is very clean and nicely put together I always feel comfortable going in to this office. The dental hygienist is really nice and we had a wonderful conversation during my procedure. Anytime they have a cancelation this office will always offer to move your appointment up.

I have to give it too these ladies at this office. Chico Dental Arts.. One of the most pleasant experiences start to finish. I had spent hours in other offices trying desperately to find a dentist to help repair my flipper plate. I had broken the FRONT tooth off the night before. I have great, or so I had thought, insurance but no body would accept it as of about month ago. Go figure! I had no idea, along with many others. I offered cash, but wouldn't except that.
The kicker was, I start a new job with WM on Monday morning, so I was desperate. I called them and they took me in the very next morning

I had a tooth 👑 on 07/07/21, and Dr. Kyle put me at ease with his awesome skill in taking care that I was comfortable during the procedure. I was referred to Chico Dental Arts by my former dentist who retired. I love Chico Dental Arts and highly recommend them to anybody out there who is looking for a great dentist. The staff are great and I always have a great experience. The only issue I had was them not telling me they were no longer an in house provider for my insurance. My insurance went from paying 100% of a cleaning to only paying 25% of a cleaning. I don't appreciate paying premiums I wouldn't have to pay elsewhere. But if Chico Dental Arts are an in house provider for your insurance, I strongly recommend them.

I was really anxious to go to the dentist since it's been a while, but they definitely made that disappear! Brooke was super friendly, informative of every step, and over all efficient at her job. Cyrus, the main dentist, did a really excellent job as well. He was very helpful with my questions and informative through the whole visit. Covid regulations are very secure and they do screenings and temp checks before you get in which is nice. Over all, I would recommend coming here if you are anxious because they are so good. Legit felt like I was at the spa haha. Thanks Brooke and Cyrus!

My Dentist retired after 30 years so I decided to go to Chico Dental Arts. Wow am I Impressed with Chico Dental Arts! Everyone.. I mean Everyone was do nice and helpful. Excellent experience! I had to change dentists after the Camp Fire and I was a little nervous about what the experience was going to be like. But my worries were put to rest quickly. From the front office to the exam staff and throughout the experience I met incredibly nice people. Dr. Oster was incredibly attentive, genuinely concerned and answered all my questions. He also gave me some great advice. After my exam I saw Robin for my cleaning. She is an knowledgeable, caring, gentle dental hygienist. I would highly recommend her! Even got a free lip balm at the end....!! I highly recommend

I had an emergency with a crown coming off on a Sunday night. I did not have a dentist in Chico as we only just moved back. Monday morning first thing, I called Chico Dental Arts and a lovely, kind and helpful voice answered on the other end. She was gracious and accommodating to see Dr. Kyle that morning. I was so grateful and appreciative that I could see a dentist so soon and as a brand new patient.

My lower denture is anchored to a bar, in turn anchored to implants. During routine cleaning, my hygienist, Donna, noticed a crack in the bar. She called Dr. Oster who examined the problem and made his recommendation.
Then, the whole practice kicked in, got me the repairs needed in a timely manner.
When the repaired bar came in Dr. Oster and Christina worked with skill and compassion to get things right. When I went back for an adjustment, Dr. Oster skillfully diagnosed the difficulty. He and Christina again showed patience and compassion and skill.

Love the staff, not so much Dr Kyle. He had "bad news" to tell me and basically told me very condescendingly that because of the prescription drugs I've taken after a stroke and 2 surgeries I was going to lose all my teeth! I started to cry and asked that my husband come in.
Suddenly Dr. Kyle's whole demeanor changed into just one of the guys.
My husband is a very large man and does physically intimidate other men.
That did it for me. Dr. Kyle just lost our business! I refuse to be treated disrespectfully because I'm an older female

Had a horrible toothache, wasn't able to sleep all night. In the morning, called every dentist within 50
Miles, no one had an opening??? Most didn't even bother to look when they might be available next, just said they couldn't help that day. I couldn't wait anyways, I was in such terrible pain. Called Chico Dental Arts and explained my situation and within hours, I was getting worked on. Life savers.

I have been extremely pleased with Chico Dental Arts, including Dr. David Kyle, the professional staff, as well as my dental hygienist, Robin. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and are glad to see you. Dr. Kyle is both friendly with a warm sense of humor, but is clearly extremely competent, capable, and experienced. Dr Oster is nice. However I won't go here again, and they lost my business for my $6000 vaneers I had planned because of their billing. They messed up on billing and I paid the price. In my world of 12 years of successful customer service, when a business messes up, they make it right. I gave them the opportunity to make it right and they didn't.

Dr. Oster and the staff were friendly and absolutely wonderful. I've had quite a dental history and was able to get an appointment quickly and with ease for a chipped tooth emergency. The office was clean, lovely and mellow, and my appointment was quick ( 1 hour).

Chico dental arts is the best dental office I've ever been to! I first went to them while I was uninsured last year when I needed a new retainer and they gave me a great deal. I started receiving dental benefits through my employer in January and have since gone to them for a cleaning and small cavity filling. The office is extremely clean and welcoming and the staff is very friendly and caring. I went in today for some gum pain I had been experiencing and Dr. Oster was able to get me in and help last minute. Truly a great office with wonderful doctors and staff!
