What happened??? This used to be my favorite go-to for Indian / Vegan options. Now that it has changed hands, it no longer has that "it" factor. The Birihana used to be my favorite, now it tastes pre-packaged. Samosas used to come with 2 sauces and now they don't. And the vindaloo wasn't the same and did not come with dahl or naan. Peachy's and Kabob Shop down the street will have my business moving forward.

Food was amazing, Got the Masala dosa with lamb, Hara masala chicken, chicken masala, chana masala, garlic naan and everything was delicious. Would recommend and will come back here. Customer service was great as well. Very respectful. Overall, excellent food and great experience.

I've been a KC customer for the past seven years. After it became one of the restaurants in The Tandoori Group, I ordered one of my favorite dishes, saag lamb. It was prepared late and was too light on the aromatic spices, but I put that down to teething troubles of new management. After giving some time to let the new operation settle down, today I ordered online the saag lamb again, with samosas and a naan. The pickup time given was 6:50 and that's when I showed up. The guy on the front desk looked sheepish and said it might be five more minutes - no big deal. After watching several

Love KC Tandoors. Have been coming for many years and am always happy with the freshness and quality. The naan is excellent too - which always tells me a lot about an Indian restaurant’s authenticity. Definitely a family favorite.

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT! Higher prices, different recipes, and horrible service. I'm heartbroken.

I first ate at KC's in 2007 when I moved to CA in my 20's, and I've been ordering the same, delicious Chicken Curry combo meal ever since! It came with curry, rice, daal, raita, and naan. Yes, the prices increased little by little over the years, but the food, quality, and service always stayed consistent. Well...not anymore!! :(

Food is sold "a la carte" now. No naan, daal, or raita is included with your meal anymore. Prices have skyrocketed, which I MIGHT be okay with

Not the same food! New owners and the food is disappointing and overpriced. Used to get a Dosa meal now the dosa is a La cart and $11 plain. I ordered the dosa and got what smelled and tasted like an oily, wheat flour crepe. One bite set off my celiac response! Dosas are made from fermented ingredients not wheat. Fake Indian food should have changed the name of the restaurant. Never will return.

This place used to be good but now under new ownership we experienced food poisoning. There is one person at the counter and one person in the back cleaning and cooking and I suspect thats where the contamination occurred.

I hate writing reviews about restaurants, cause I'm lazy, unless something REALLY stands out and I care about the restaurant enough.
This was my favorite Indian place as a teen and into adulthood. Came back here from College to be HIGHLY disappointed with the quality of food I got from them tonight. Now hearing about management changes and I want to make this VERY CLEAR to the current owners and managers.
SOMETHING HAS TO CHANGE OR YOU ARE LOSING A LOT OF CUSTOMERS!
Please put the resources into improving your food before you lose more customers! Put some time and money into it please!
I hope

Unfortunately, KC Tandoor isn't the same as it used to be. It is under new management, and the menu has changed- they removed some of our favorites like the all white meat chicken burrito and the chicken salad.
We ordered the curry chicken and the chicken vindaloo- both were bland and tasted like something from a box. We will not be back.

I’ve been going to this place for 20+ years and didn’t realize they were under new management. I always ordered the combination plates, which included rice, daal, raita and naan at no charge. Now the entree only comes with rice and costs about 30% more than the combo plates were. The vegetarian entrees we ordered were unrecognizable as they were both mush. I hope they were just having a bad night, but I’ll be looking for a new Indian restaurant.

This used to be amazing but they changed owners and their food is now subpar. They also raised the prices and made the combinations only available at lunch.

Menu changed, totally bummed. Might be the last time we come back. It's nothing like it was previously, so much so that they should change the name. My previous review was 5 stars and we've been going here for over 15 years. Guess all times must come to an end. Good news is we can find our new favorite Indian food restaurant.

We have been going to KC's Tandoor for years and loved it. It's was the only place where we could get dosas in North County. During the pandemic we would order and pick up food, including dosas (not crisp when you take out but still tasty.)

The restaurant is under new ownership and now has much few menu items than it previously had. Understandable. What wasn't understandable is the quality of the food. We ordered a dosa, it was burnt and chewy in the center, the rest was barely cooked. The palak paneer had an unusually bright green with the texture of baby food with a couple of

If there is a finer biryani or korma in San Diego, don't tell me, I don't want to know. I've found my platonic ideal (for my palate) of Indian food. A dizzying selection of vegetarian options and plenty of choice for people who eat meat, too. The peanut coconut curry is something I've never seen on any restaurant menu, so extra praise for that.

Six out of five!

Went tonight and hadn't been in a but. MANAGEMENT CHANGED. Menu changed, people not as pleasant or helpful
. They used to help me order and now I had to keep asking for clarification. Naan is extra now, $4.00 not included. . The meal comes in separate containers and not assembled in one clam shell box. And the flavors aren't as good. No cucumber sauce/dip stuff and seemed to be way more expensive. Such a bummer. This was one of my favorite spots amd now that they have changed management, I don't think I'll be back.

I would give it no stars if I could! Worst experience ever. I ordered through google told him the names when I came in he kept saying he only had an order for jim and nothing for me. He recited my order though so I was like how did you know what I ordered if you don’t have it? He said oh is it this one? Which it was. So I took my to go order had to come back and wait in line and ask for forks and napkins. He said he couldn’t help me because he was taking an order and that they do not give silverware out for to go orders??? I had to ask the nice polite guy in the kitchen for it. He politely

This used to be our FAVORITE. In the past year, sauces have gotten watery, potatoes aren’t cooked, and the service has not been great. Tonight, we just learned they have removed their combos! This will triple their prices for the lower quality food. I wish KC would reel it back in and improve the quality so the food was worth the cost. We will be doing Himalayan only now. Total bummer. Huge loss.

KC's has carried us throughout the quarantine as one of our DoorDash faves. The food always comes hot and fresh, which can't be said for every restaurant. I enjoy the flavors and they are very consistent here. We often get a Chicken Tikka Masala or Makhani and a vegetarian dish like Aloo Gobi. I also love that they have Dosas as you don't see that everywhere. Recently tried the Dosa with Curried Coconut chicken and I really enjoyed it. Trust that you will get quality Indian food if you order from KC Tandoor, even on DoorDash.

Great local takeout-style Indian restaurant located in the Target shopping center in Encinitas. It's been here for many years, and I've been coming here for quite a while. It's near a family friend's house, so I'm in the area fairly regularly. And this is one of our favorite takeout places.

So happy that they're still doing takeout during covid times! We have eaten dine in here before, but my home-away-from-home is so close that we usually get it to go anyway. And it's usually Lamb Vindaloo, for the whole family, LOL. We also enjoyed the samosas, and the cottage
