Amazing place, the food and the service is just excellent, I have dined there many times and every time it was impeccable.
Everyone there is always really accommodating and they try their best to always make the customer happy and as if he was at home.
The manager William is really charming and I remember this nice Italian guy that served us made the experience really unforgettable. The food sometimes it does take a while but it is understandable due to the quantity of customers and the small kitchen, never too long tho.
10/10 I will come back here for sure!!!

I took my girlfriend to 208 Rodeo for her birthday June 2021, mid-COVID, and we were surprised that they took over most of Via Rodeo. The street allowed them to space out the tables enough for us to feel safe. This is where the positives stopped.
It all started with our drinks; it took 20 minutes to get our drinks even though it was not very busy. After we got our drinks, we ordered our food quickly because the tables started to fill up. Complete rip off, calling the food here mediocre is my good deed of the day. Totally underwhelming tourist trap. If you're visiting LA, don't have this place as your bar of our food, we have amazing restaurants, this barely qualifies as a restaurant. Food is bad, mood sucks, service nothing to write about.

Felt compelled to eat at this restaurant during a shopping trip on Rodeo because of its prime location on the street. There's a great view of the top of Rodeo Drive and since it is the holiday season, there was a magical feel what with the Christmas lighting and small orchestra playing just feet away from the outdoor dining. At one point, there was a harp player so the atmosphere was so serene and blissful.
Wish I could say the same about the food. In short, the food was overall greasy and overpriced given the taste and quality. Our appetizer was the shrimp and calamari which tasted too much

I have been to rodeo 208 many times, but this last time has made me want to never go back. I felt it necessary to write of my terrible experience despite leaving a survey with one of the managers as nothing was done to rectify this terrible experience while at the restaurant or afterwards. I decided to go to Rodeo 208 to celebrate my birthday on 11/20/21 with my family. From the beginning till the end, my experience was extraordinarily terrible:

Phenomenal experience here at 208 Rodeo. Perfect Christmas time atmosphere outside under the lights. Joey our waiter was fantastic. Knowledgeable of the menu, great suggestions and excellent customer service. Appetizers consisted of shrimp sesame which was phenomenal. Our main course was the famous surf and turf. Enough food for 2. Great entertainment. Thank you 208 Rodeo for fabulous experience.

Great food, but not so great service. The waiter, Sage, barely came by our table throughout the dining experience. He came by 15 minutes after we sat down, gave us menus, didn't really introduce himself, and not really putting up a friendly persona. It seemed like he was preoccupied elsewhere. From the other reviews, it seems like he gave great service so perhaps we had him on an off day.
My wife and I ordered the seafood special of the day, which took (I kid you not) over 40 mins to bring out. It came to the point where I had to flag down another waiter to ask on the status of our order

Great location right on Rodeo Drive! Incredible and attentive service with delicious food. We started out with some drinks that were fantastic, and then shared the French Onion Soup as an appetizer. It was creamy, cheesy and overall heavenly. As an entree I ordered the Braised Short Rib which was fantastic! The meat was so tender it fell apart with the gentle touch of your fork, and the polenta was to die for. Overall wonderful dinner spot.

We had a really good dinner here. It’s right on top of the stairs on Rodeo Drive and Wilshire, across the street from the famous hotel seen in Pretty Woman.
Service was on point. Sitting by the terrace overlooking the street is the best spot. Everything feels clean and fresh!
Food was great! The salmon entree with risotto was delicious!! They have a good variety of spritz and that made me really happy!!

the ahi tuna tartare was great with the taro chops & wasabi sauce on the side. the lobster roll was okay, a standard lobster roll. i looooved the truffle oil chips on the side though, and that was probably my favorite of the dishes. the limonana was very whatevers and heavily tasted like mint. however, if you dislike the taste of alcohol, this will mask it up.
what i disliked about this place is how close the tables were together where i sat. it's not even about covid, but it felt like complete

Worst restaurant experience ever. Literally EVER. The waiter was good. The food terrible. Manager argued with us for 20 minutes when they brought out a 5 ounce filet that is listed at 8 ounces. He said he would charge us even if we didn’t want it. We simply brought it to his attention and it was a 30 minute argument. Another waiter who was not ours also jumped into the conversation. Forced to eat it, it was dry burnt and flavorless. The fries were over cooked and bland .The food was well below average, French Onion and Tomato Soup straight from a Campbell’s can, and bill was $230 for one entree

Honestly, the food was good so was the location. Top that up with us being super hungry, it tasted extra good. Our server was very very nice. But, there was a big white tattoed guy who kept asking us if we were done with our food over and over again while some of us clearly had a lot of food left on our plates. He kept looking at our table. It was quite offending to us. We felt like we were being targeted and we just wanted to get done with our food and leave the place.

Lovely atmosphere and GREAT BAND! That's what you pay for and that's it. lol. The service was nice and friendly, even though we waited a long time to get our drinks and food. My Food:
1. THE BRAISED SHORT RIB - was tasty, I liked it. HOWEVER, my husband's:
2. JIDORI CHICKEN - was awful. I think they just boiled it and then sauteed it quickly. The chicken had no flavor and kind of tasted like duck undercooked.
3. MASH POTATOES - were bland and lightweight.
My husband ordered a Coke-a-cola and it tasted like RC soda. He changed it out for a sprite and that tasted like a cheap
