As a parent, all of your effort goes toward navigating their out-of-control emotions. Your child may struggle with anger, anxiety or ADHD and managing those are taking away from your family time. In fact, very little of your parenting energy goes to actually connecting with and enjoying them. It's heartbreaking to think about how strained your parent-child relationship is.
It's as if every day is a roller coaster and you're starting to wonder if your family is ever going to be able to have a happy life. You've reached a point where you long for bedtime, just to go to sleep, wake up, and start worrying about your child all over again. Before you had kids, you imagined what your family life would look like.

It's hard to know what is more concerning, the chaos in your family life or the fear that something is wrong with your child. Your home is a war zone filled with fights, upsets, tantrums, and yelling. You worry that your child's difficulty handling emotions is going to not only negatively affect their relationships with others, but you're afraid of what it means for their ability to succeed in school and beyond.
You know that your child is needing counseling services, but you are not sure what type of therapy would be most helpful. Would you like to understand what exactly play therapy is and why it is the preferred counseling method for children?. If this sounds like you, then you are at the right place! It is common for parents to feel lost when searching for the right therapist, especially in Houston where the choices are overwhelming.

I've known Brittani for many years and have worked with her on a number of projects. I have seen her consistently make wise choices - some in the face of incredible pressures and problems! I heartily recommend her to friends and family when they are in need of counseling, parenting advice, or just a caring listener. She can make a difference for you!
