13 years capturing beautiful wedding and engagement photos at Chicago's best luxury hotels, lofts, museums, and rooftop venues. When I started looking for a photographer, I wanted to make sure that I had someone who I trusted. It was very important for me to not worry on my wedding day. All I have to say is WOW!

Working with Kenny was an absolute pleasure for our engagement! From the start when I contacted him, I knew he was going to be great -- he was extremely communicative, responsive, and professional. During the engagement itself at the Londonhouse Rooftop, it was clear he knew exactly what he was doing -- directing everyone to the best spots, capturing candid moments, and being fun throughout the event. Working with Kenny was easily one of the best decision we made for our wedding! I contacted Kenny about 2 months prior to my proposal in downtown Chicago. It was a surprise proposal and Kenny walked me through every detail of the location and how the shots would be taken along with the amount of shots, edits, and pricing.
Kenny went above and beyond to get in place, on time, and delivered as expected!
I would highly recommend using him and give him a 10/10!
Be sure to contact plenty in advance, he gets booked up for weddings and other events so don’t delay until the last minute!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience working with Kenny for a surprise proposal in downtown Chicago. He was able to capture the moment perfectly with the best angles and beautiful backgrounds. Our pictures turned out incredible and Kenny was able to turn around and get us all of the 300+ high resolution photos within the same week to share with our family and friends. I would definitely recommend Kenny to anyone looking for a talented photographer for any special occasion.

We met with 2 photographers and when my then fiance’ and I met Kenny in his studio and immediately, we felt comfortable and at ease with him, and upon perusing the photo albums from prior weddings, we were impressed and our decision was quickly made! He is absolutely an amazing photographer, and works well with all ages, and group sizes! Additionally, he is a WPPI award winning photographer, which carries industry distinction! My Brothers and I wanted to have pictures taken for our Parents as a Christmas gift and I reached out to Kenny Nakai based off photos he had taken for some mutual friends. Kenny is hands down the best photographer I’ve ever used. Not only is he a ‘master of his craft’ - he’s funny, engaging and genuinely one of the nicest men to work with! My husband and I had the honor of being one of the very first couples that Kenny photographed in his career. We found him by chance, and it was one of the best investments that we made for our wedding. The photographs were so beautifully done and I still get a doe-eyed when I view them. Our guests even loved the photos and we had one couple book the year after us! I will forever recommend Kenny as long as he is in the photography game!

Kenny is such a wonderful photographer and person! We cannot thank him enough for capturing our wedding day so perfectly — with his artistic eye, creativity, and professionalism.
