The only reason you see 4 and 5 star reviews of this very unprofessional management company is because they hold raffles for their tenants who leave reviews, and no smart tenant is going to leave a bad review. This management company is incredibly unethical; attempts to deny heat in winter, does not return security deposits, charges tenants for packages left overnight in the lobby ($50/day), and a host of other unfortunate behaviors. There are roaches; don't let them tell you otherwise. The laundry room was perpetually filthy, and this year the laundry machines were not functional for over a month

The apartment that I rent is in a perfect location at a really great price. That said, I rented the apartment "as-is" and as one would expect, the condition of the apartment was not great when I first moved in. The landlord was more than amenable to me doing some repairs on the apartment myself, with Seaport Properties promptly reimbursing me for… the materials. Seaport Properties’ online rental portal is very helpful, with an option to set up reoccurring rent payments, view lease documents and submit maintenance requests. Very few complaints all around!

I moved to Brenton Court Apartments in late May of this year. The people at Seaport were really helpful in getting my paperwork in order even though I was half a world away. Since settling in, I have not had any major issues, and the one minor bathroom issue was fixed expeditiously. I love my apartment. Spacious and cozy, with warm neighbors and… friendly pets. The location is great--close to markets, dining, shops, and the metro--and within a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. I landed in a great place. I would highly recommend. Brenton Court location can't be beat near Braddock metro and sandwiched in between Old Town and Del Ray. Jogging/biking trails nearby with lots of green spaces for fur kids to enjoy. A pipe burst in my kitchen and they managed to get someone out to my place that very morning.
Be advised laundry can be in a separate building and no central air but I'm still happy with the value.

I have been a tenant at a home with Seaport Properties for 3 years now. I had nothing but a great experience with them. They have a easy to use portal for any problems or payments. When their is a problem they are on top of it, getting the problem fixed in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend them.

We currently rent through Seaport Properties, and our experience has been very good. It is easy to submit work orders through their online portal, and we always get a prompt response and worker to fix the issue. If anything comes up, we can always reach out to them via email or phone and Cheryl or another staff always responds quickly.

We have rented through Seaport for over a year and have no major complaints. Our unit is old and whenever something breaks Seaport responds and repairs within a day or two, which is awesome. They have even repaired things I thought they couldn't/wouldn't, like water pressure.
The apartments themselves are very old and could use an upgrade (plugs are 2 prong, bathroom is old and has no fan or ventilation, most walls, cabinets, windowsills, electrical units, etc. have been painted over multiple times...) but you know what you're getting before you move in. We have also had locks cut and property

I love living in Brenton Court apartments. The buildings are old but I like that, I find it charming. I've had great responsiveness from Seaport Properties every time I put in a maintinance request. I also love the people who live there, it's a great community. Many people have dogs, which has been great for my energetic, social pup. There's also a nice backyard area that has been a great place to hang out with my dog and neighbors. The location is great too, it's a short walk to the metro, Del Ray shops and restaurants, parks, walking paths, and two dog parks.

I have enjoyed my time living in Brenton Court (Del Ray, Alexandria) managed by Seaport Properties. The price for the location and square footage cannot be beat (speaking as an Old Town native here)! Lovely, quiet, and safe neighborhood with lots of young families. No major complaints! Would recommend.

Seaport Properties is not just or fair in the way they treat their tenants when closing out the lease. My experience was similar to many reviews I have read since having a large portion of my security deposit withheld unjustly.
My family and I were good tenants, always paying our rent on time, and leaving our apartment better than when we found… it.
We were charged almost $500. to replace a microwave that we installed, replacing an old and original range hood, which was listed on the lease. This was an improvement, as well as other additions and improvements we made, leaving the place better

Seaport Properties have always been super responsive and accommodating. I've lived in my apartment for nearly 4 years and have never experienced any major issues. It's such a good deal to boot--still hard to believe I have the deal I do right in the heart of Old Town!
