We're located at the intersection of Central & Lowry Avenues, at the heart of the city's funky, arts-intensive neighborhood. Sen Yai Sen Lek is perfect for a relaxing afternoon or evening out: sample a bowl of noodles or our daily curry special, pick up some Thai take-out, or enjoy a local beer or glass of wine at the bar.
Services
We offer Sen Yai Sen Lek preparations of traditional Thai dishes. By specializing in single dish noodle and rice entrees reminiscent of Bangkok's street food, we bring you a fuller range of Thai cuisine by simplifying your choices (and still offering everyone's favorites!). Take a look at our menu of appetizers, sticky rice dishes, noodle and rice dishes, curry specials and desserts for details.

This was my first time have Thai food in the twin cities and I have to say it was amazing. From the customer service, the food and the atmosphere, everything was 5 stars. Emily was our waiter and she recommended great selections and it was the best Thai experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend this place to anyone that wants great food prepared by amazing people with a awesome experience. Thank you Sen Yai, and I will be back again. Until next time, be safe, and keep up the amazing work! 👌💯👍

Great food and staff was lovely, overall would recommend this little thai nook in Northeast
Definitely recommend the chicken Laab, an acidic but spicy chopped chicken rice dish, and the Geow Naam Moo Daeng, a super tasty chicken soup with noodles, pork and wontons.
Their housemade Thai Limeade is phenomenal, and better than any regular limeade
Not to mention a good selection of local taps including Fair State brewing!

This restaurant is amazing, it has been here for 13 years. I have lived in the area for 10 years and I am reminded how much I don't know about this area. As far as the atmosphere, If you get a chance chat with Joe the owner. He puts his heart and soul into this place. The picture s on the wall are his family in Thailand and his father did the paintings. The place and environment is like your are at a friend's place. The food is incredible, I highly recommend The Pad Thai. In my humbled opinion is is the best in the Twin Cites. Taking the title from Big Bowl in Roesville mall. I will definitely

While living abroad, my wife and I would travel to Thailand regularly. The food here reminded us of the many great flavors we miss living in MN. The atmosphere was welcoming and simple and allowed for the food to SHINE! The staff was so kind and helpful. If you want experience Thailand, minus the jet-lag, eat here! It's well worth it!

I know this place has almost a cult following in MPLS, but having ordered takeout from them several times this past year, not sure I really get the hype. I think they make good food, but it's super inconsistent. Our go-to order is tofu pad-thai, tofu khao pad kuri, and either spring rolls or the taohoo todd. One time, I remember the pad thai being the best I've ever had. Another time, the tofu in both dishes were super burnt and unpleasant to eat. Another time it felt like the pad thai had been run under water with all the flavor/sauce washed off. If I could go back to that one time a

Take out you have to hit up! This was already our favorite Thai place in NE Mpls. We are all about supporting our local business during this pandemic. They have a full menu available and we got Pad Thai, Chicken Curry Panang, and Moo Ping, which is sort of like a pork satay that has a sauce that I wish I could describe to give it justice, but it a MUST! Come on Yelpers, go to your fav restaurant and support them through this tough time!

I love thai food, and this is a spot I will continue coming back to. I have only been one time so far, but my girlfriend and I were both loved our dishes. We stopped in for lunch and the waitress was extremely helpful with helping us navigate the best option for our preferences on the menu (girlfriend doesn't like spicy or certain things like mushrooms/peppers). A very relaxing environment sandwiched among a number of other great options along Central Ave in Northeast. I recommend grabbing your meal here and then heading next door to either Durango bakery or Dipped & Debris for dessert

Frankly the food taste itself is not bad, in fact fairly flavorful that it was redeeming the other downside. The waitress here is very friendly so that's a bonus too - but why the three-stars, you ask? I'm comparing to many other Thai restaurant I've eaten at and it's hard to justify giving high star when the portion is too small for the price you pay.
I had to go somewhere else to buy more food as I left here pretty hungry. And that's just not something you feel quite like doing after spending quite a bit at a restaurant.

The food was served fresh and tasty. I definitely will come back and try more appetizers. We ordered the egg rolls. They were served fresh and temperature hot that It almost burned the roof of my mouth but I'm not complaining because that's a sign of freshness.
The ambiance was very nice and the crowd was a mixture of Id day mid 20s to late 40s.
The service was exceptional however the parking spots were limited, but at least it's free and if you are savvy enough, should not have to walk more than a block.

If you're looking for a spot to find something vegan, celiac-friendly, or allergen safe, this is the place for you.
The staff are super friendly. Maybe it's just the midwest, but it seemed beyond that. We came in pretty close to when they closed the kitchen and while we felt bad about it, they didn't rush us out at all.
We had the miang kam as an appetizer, which was tasty and fun to assemble. They brought us out more lettuce since we still had a bunch of stuffing.
My noodles were a little clumpy, but nbd. I got the ba mee haeng, which I was very happy with, until I tried the

First time trying this place out with a group of fellow vegans- and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is small and quaint with the whole front of the space open up to the outside. It really made it seem a lot bigger. The place probably has only about 8-10 tables. They have beer (and sociable cider) on tap!
Per your request, they will gladly give you a completely vegan / vegetarian menu. They really are very friendly to all dietary restrictions. I had the wide noodle dish with fried tofu and holy basil. The flavor was great, and the tofu was fried to perfection. The wide rice noodles were

Prior to this past weekend, I don't recall the last time that I was here. However, I do remember the food being very well prepared. If only I lived a little closer, then I would eat here a lot!
Despite it being the weekend, I was able to get a table immediately, which was a lovely surprise. The staff were all very welcoming and cheerful, particularly the server that I had. It made the whole experience even better! It was a busy night and the tables seemed to be consistently full with people, but the food was flowing out of the kitchen at a good rate.

One of my go-to weekday lunch spots. Since they stopped the lunch specials, probably frequent here less often but still a big fan of their Green Curry (with rice and crispy egg roll) and the flavorful Pad Bai Kra Pow. Make sure you ask for the spice tray because they make both items fairly mild.
A friend told me the name translates as "big noodle little noodle" in Thai. You can't go wrong with their Pad Kee Mow for their noodle dish.
