In 1999 Randy Arndorfer was working at a Toyota dealership as a technician. Prior to that he was a service manager at a GM dealership. Randy found a vacant building for rent on Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho in the late spring of 1999. Having had worked at a dealership for many years, Randy saw the need for "dealer level" service, at a discounted price in the Rio Rancho area.
Originally, Rio Rancho Imports serviced primarily European and Japanese cars, and now service all makes models. Seven years later, Randy purchased the land and built the facility Rio Rancho Imports is now operating from. We currently have 9 employees and service all makes and models of cars and light trucks.

Great experience with Rio Rancho Imports. I took my Audi A4 in for a leaking transmission output shaft and also asked them to give the car a general inspection to look for other issues. They called me the next day with all the issues they found, offered me pricing and recommendations but never pressured me. They were very straightforward and open. I authorized the repairs I wanted done and they gave me a timeline for the repairs. When one part was late being delivered they called to let me know, but were still able to complete the repairs on time. Prices were very reasonable for the repairs completed

When the hybrid battery in my Prius finally died, I had to take it in. I was dreading everything about this encounter, but Rio Rancho Imports behaved with professionalism, respect, and transparency. This shop is fantastic. They are courteous, friendly, communicate well, and above all else, professional. I never felt patronized or belittled, despite not being particularly versed in mechanics. The maintenance check is free and each problem was explained individually, including specific error codes and suggested solutions for problems, and I had the chance to figure out exactly what work I wanted

Randy the owner went on the test drive with me to disgnose the issue. He has years of experience and has worked at Toyota dealerships in the past which my truck being a Toyota tunda is. Jason the service advisor was outstanding also. I made an appointment and within the hour of dropping it off they had the issue repaired. This service center is the best I have dealt with in many years. Both of these men had terrific and most friendly personalities and our conversation was an added bonus. This service center comes with my highest recommendation for quality, reliability, timeliness, and overall pleasant

These dudes are awesome! Went to Firestone to get an estimate for a basic brake job they came back with a $4000 tab. Wanting a second estimate I took it to these guys. Their quote was $800. Earned my business and loyalty for the future. Super nice guys and HONEST... Don't hesitate to come here for your cars needs.

Randy, the owner, came to my house with his tow truck and hauled my classic Mustang back to his shop. This occurred in the late morning and I received a call from them in the mid-afternoon and my car was ready for pick up. Since I didn't have a ride, Jason sent the shop's courier to give me a ride back to their shop. When I arrived, automotive technician Travis showed me the work he had done by installing an ignitor in my distributor and my Mustang fired right up. Jason had to search various businesses to obtain the exact ignitor I wanted to have installed as I had already installed

Short and sweet this was one of the better times you can have when you leave your car at the shop. they did what was needed and at the quoted price I was given. It has an old-time approach being an Honest person working on your car and good decent folks working for the business from the front desk to re-delivery of your car. Randy the owner and his staff deserve a heads up.

Our car started, but every electrical alert appeared on the dash. The car was unable to be driven. I called Randy at 4:00pm and he came with the tow truck within 15 minutes. I got a call the next day that they were still diagnosing it, as it was not very straightforward. Later, I got another call with the diagnosis and estimate. Mice had a feast on the electrical wires that run everything in the car. Randy and his team had the car fixed and as good as new within 24 hours of picking it up. The total was less than the estimate, which is always a nice surprise!

I recently took my car to Rio Rancho Imports and got the spark plugs changed on a 2011 BMW 328i xdrive. When I picked up the the car, there were numerous warning lights indicating I had four flat tires and needed an oil service. I just put four new tires and had the oil changed about a month prior to taking it in. They told me my car needed to be serviced and when I showed them the receipts for the service they said they could not remove the warnings because they were no sure that that the place I took it to was a trusted mechanic. The place that serviced my vehicle was the Valvoline store on Coors

I just had another amazing experience today with the guys down at Rio Rancho Imports. I was referred to them about a year or so ago. These guys truly are the best! They are very honest and upfront about their findings and they always give you multiple options based on time, cost, and availability of parts. Eddie and Jason are always the friendly faces I see when I walk in and it's like family. Nick is the driver who graciously gives rides if they have to keep your car and he's very personable. I also like that they are respectful of people waiting. I've never heard them speak negatively

I haven't lived in Rio Rancho for very long, so I was pleased to find this place to service my Toyota. First time I visited RRI, I thought I needed new brake pads. They carefully inspected my car for any maintenance and safety concerns. They addressed my worries and I was fully satisfied with their attention and care for my car. When my car's brake pads were worn down and my car started making a faint brushing/grinding noise, I had no doubt where I would have it serviced - RRI! They diagnosed a bearing failure in the water pump and replaced the front brake pads. I feel much safer driving

Cannot say enough good things about this place! I brought in a custom and complicated truck issue to the guys at the shop and they quickly accommodated me and started tearing into the issue.
I was in a jam on a road trip and within a couple days my truck issues were gone and I’ve been able to carry on! They are also more than fair and keep you in the loop so there’s never a question or worry to be had.
If I’m ever in the area again I’ll be sure to stop by for a check up. I highly recommend them!

I was very pleased with the service on my BMW. I had an oil leak for which they were able to quickly diagnose and provide an estimate. Communication from the service advisor regarding cost and repair time was very professional. They also worked with my extended warranty company to find out what parts were covered. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly when I had questions at pickup time.

I've got nothing but love for the shop. They've helped my husband out on many vehicles: both Infiniti's, the Jetta, the XTerra, and yes the reliable Tacoma. The prices are reasonable, and they provide reasonable $olution$ to potential problem$. If you get my drift. I only wish they were open on Saturdays, too.

Having moved to the west side I was looking for a small business automotive shop that I could support with some work and save some money in the process. I searched the internet for a shop and found Rio Rancho Imports, There were several good reviews on the shop so I went to their website to see what services they offered.
I looked at Rio Rancho Imports website and their mission statement said
