We are a family-focused counseling clinic located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and we are dedicated to serving those in East Tennessee and beyond. Haven is a practice that desires to meet the mental health and relational needs of our community, with a particular focus on serving those looking for faith-sensitive services, where belief can be openly talked about and included in the therapeutic process and much as our clients desire.

Services
Haven is a practice that desires to meet the mental health and relational needs of the wider Knoxville community, with a particular focus on serving those looking for faith-sensitive services, where belief and religious values can be included in the process and goals for counseling with purposeful support; and without contempt, condescension, or negative judgement.
Our primary mission is to provide emotional and behavioral services in our community. Providers in group work with adults, children, adolescents, college students, couples, and families; from a variety of backgrounds. Through our online collaboration, Haven Academy, we have both free and paid content for people who want to look at changing problematic behaviors, improving their relationships, and explore themes in spiritual development.
Our medication managers were with Haven since our doors opened in 2016, and they continued as an independent practice in our joint clinic location starting in 2018.
And though it was an honor and a pleasure to provide our counseling/psychotherapy serves alongside their psychiatric/medication management services in the same location, the continued growth of both the counseling/therapy practice and the psychiatric practice led our psychiatric partners to move their independent practice to a new location and with a new name, Knoxville Family Psychiatry, located near downtown Knoxville at 301 Clark Street, Knoxville, TN 37921.

The story of Haven is not just about the vision of one or two people, but is about the culmination of the dreams and passions of several mental health providers in the Knoxville area.
Friends and colleagues who had worked in various medical settings and counseling centers began talking years ago about having a clinic location that could provide both counseling and medication management in the same practice, and how this practice could provide an inviting environment that would be sensitive to the the values and beliefs of those who were being served (Haven's Mission Statement).

All of the counselors/therapists are out-of-network with insurance companies, but we can provide you with easy-to-submit documents for you to send to your insurance company for you to get reimbursed directly for your therapy based on your out-of-network benefits. We work as out-of-network providers for a number of reasons.
