I took a somewhat unconventional path on my way to becoming an attorney in Virginia Beach and Hampton Roads. My early experience was in military service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves.

I found myself in need of legal representation, that spun into a very contentious divorce and I called Attorney Marle's office. My initial consult was via telephone at which time he assured me that he could help me. He did that and so much more. Knowledgeable, professional, very personable and just an outstanding attorney. I'm sorry I haven't written this review sooner, but here it is and it is very important to consider when looking at this lawyer. I was incredibly fortunate to have hired him. It has been 9 years, and there is not a day that goes by that I not only think of him, but thank him in my head. Extremely professional, incredibly intelligent and full of integrity. I had an unusual case. My daughter was taken by my husband on a trip... and he never returned. I learned that he was cheating and he never actually planned on returning home. I was in the ARMY at the time. It was so hard to manage this situation

I used Mr. Marle about 6-7 yrs ago for a divorce situation he made it super easy took care of both our issues and even with other party having moved back to California mailed all paper work to her to sign, he went to court and had everything settled without either party having to be here. (Fairly uncomplicated divorce etc no kids)
Very occasionally every few yrs I call him for some legal matter advice and he always takes the 2min out of his day to help me. Hopefully I never have to need him again retained but should that happen for traffic or divorce he would be first and only person I call. Thanks

Simon Marle did a very poor job representing me. He did not communicate well nor find out my needs regarding my Custody/CS case, He did not notify me about my final hearing date/time , I found out from the opposing party. He allowed my income to be calculated incorrectly, did not discuss the terms of custody with me beforehand, on the day of court he seemed as though he did not recognize me and walked right past me. PLEASE look elsewhere he talks fast and promised things that he did not attempt to do for me. He agreed with everything the opposing counsel said despite being paid by me. He honestly

Simon did an amazing job on the fly for my first hearing. I couldn’t have asked for better representation initially. He even borrowed his neighbors car to make it after his wouldn’t start!! No complaints there. He did very very well in court.
However between my first and second hearing he gave me bad legal advice that landed me in jail. I’m assuming he did not read the order given by the judge, and told me I return to my property with my spouses permission. Not the case.
I didn’t feel like he listened when drafting an agreement and went based off “generally speaking..xyz happens”

This review is long overdue! He is an amazing lawyer!!! Honest!! If you want a lawyer that will not take advantage of you he is the guy. I had a horrible divorce and custody battle over two states. He went to court more times for me then any other lawyer I had. He was the only lawyer that won every argument on my behalf. He was the only lawyer that didn’t blow through the retainer. I actually got a check in the mail. I plan on hire him again when I return to court in two years. I’m an honest reviewer as small business owner these are extremely important. He is rare find!

Simon Marle found me when I was in the middle of my still current divorce/custody battle. Every other law firm I talked to would not take me on as a client because I did not have enough money to retain them. Recommending we let a 5 year olds teeth rot out for the sake of a case. Negotiating settlements with absolutely no permission to do so. Speaking to the opposite party poorly about his own client and his household. Inability to handle anything tech such as voice or video files. Failure to follow up on....almost everything. Attorney Marle did nothing short of save my life, I was being hemmed up for a insanely ridiculous scenario involving facing jail time. Case was dismissed and all charges dropped in a matter of 10 seconds. His rates are absolutely fair and he is very confident in what he does. Mr Marle , was a god send. I hired him for a child support matter against my ex husband and couldn't be happier with the outcome.
