Sometimes when we feel frustrated with certain aspects of our life, we want help in trying to make sense of it. In turning towards our difficulties and fears, our perceptions may shift and this new way of seeing helps us discover what we most deeply value. My practice includes questioning beliefs and challenging patterns that keep us from healing, growing and deepening our connection to ourselves and others.
When we are met with attuned, compassionate attention we are more likely to feel safe and supported. This sense of security often creates the freedom to discover new possibilities for our well-being. I like helping people make changes that bring more joy into their lives. Some of the areas I work with include depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, attachment related issues, grief, mindfulness and somatic practices.

Services
I offer support in helping you create more meaning, joy and connection in your life. When life brings challenges that feel overwhelming or frustrating, learning new ways to meet these challenges can be transformative; creating new possibilities for healing and growth. Turning towards what is difficult may seem daunting.
Long lasting change happens in a safe, non-judgmental environment. I bring a willingness to meet you with an open heart and thoughtful mind. When we feel safe enough in the knowledge of our value and worth, we are freer to inquire into what is painful and to make changes. I am deeply passionate about this work-accepting what might seem unacceptable as we discover more possibilities for your life.
I find helping couples communicate more deeply from their hearts to be one of the most rewarding parts of my practice. Working with many couples over the years, I have trained in several ways of thinking about relationships. Not one theory works for all couples. Sometimes, just coming in for a few sessions helps open up the communication between you.

Teresa was a godsend for my partner and me. She is truly gifted, highly skilled and has made an effort to be well trained in efficacious treatments. My partner and I were in full shutdown/angry mode when we first came to Teresa. She was able to get us back on track and to a loving and open place with one another quite quickly. I'm a psychologist and it was particularly important to my partner and I that my partner not feel judged or less than and that was never an issue. We both felt fully held and understood. While we've still got some work to do, the ten sessions or so we did

Dr. Lesko is a highly trained and skilled therapist. As a colleague, I have benefited greatly from her expert insight and feedback during our consultation group meetings. In addition to being a very talented therapist, she is also a warm, genuine, nurturing and compassionate person. I refer clients to her frequently and I recommend her highly. If I could, I would give her 10 STARS!!!

I had a rather disturbing experience with Dr. Lesko. At first she was helpful in referring me to books on anxiety that I was struggling with. But as our work progressed together there was a way that she seemed to get off balance by what I was dealing with. My last session with her she told me I had "behaved badly". I was dealing with pretty commonplace divorce issues. She had me doing compassion meditations about the person who was attacking me through the legal system. This was tremendously unhelpful and put the focus in the wrong place. I badly needed help to cope with the stress of
