Services
Haven Animal Hospital is a modern small animal veterinary hospital providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
We also work closely with board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, radiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, neurology, oncology, and cardiology when special diagnostic procedures or treatments are required. We have full telemedicine capabilities as the facility includes state-of-the-art equipment such as digital x-ray, digital ultrasound, digital microscopy, and digital dental x-ray.

Because of the shorter lifespan of our companion animals, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination for healthy mature pets and semi-annual physical examinations for senior pets or those pets with a serious illness. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems.
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time. For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
Many people have questions about various aspects of their pet's surgery, and we hope this information will help. It also explains the decisions you will need to make before your pet's upcoming surgery. Today's modern anesthetic monitors have made surgery much safer than in the past.
Here at Haven Animal Hospital, we do a thorough physical exam and pre-anesthetic bloodwork on your pet before administering anesthetics, to ensure that a fever or other illness won't be a problem. We also adjust the amount and type of anesthetic used depending on the health of your pet. The handout on anesthesia explains this in greater detail.

With today's advances in medical care leading to extended wellness and treatments for many illnesses, pet insurance makes sense. Pet insurance is much like car insurance or other indemnity insurance. It's insurance against accident and illness. There are many options for pet insurance. The most common carriers are Nationwide, Trupanion, Embrace, Pet's Best, and PurinaCare.

I am so grateful to Haven Animal Hospital. I'm New to vegas and had not established care for my sweet Lucy.
Unfortunately a few months ago she got really sick and was throwing up red mucus. I was so scared for her. I called every single animal hospital in vegas which wanted nothing to do with me. However Haven made the time to get Lucy in for an emergency visit. She recovered and then I was able to get a squeeze in appointment to establish care...
Then fast forward to this week, while on a walk Lucy was attacked and bitten by another dog. The bite was very small but I still wanted to get

They seem to care..reason for lower rating is that its bern impossible to build a relationship w vet as they wont let you go in with your pet..drop off outside still required. I've heard they also have rotating vets so that concerns me as I dont know who is treating my dog. I havent returned for that reason. It's very personal intimate relationship between vet, my pet and me.

Leaving this review has weighed heavily on me. My dog, Demi, was approx 11-12 yrs old (she was a rescue). She went to Haven regularly. Only this last time she received shots she appeared to have an adverse reaction. I know Haven is typically busy. But after a few days and Demi's condition continued to worsen I grew very concerned. The only place she had been was Haven, as I had stopped walking her due to her age and heart murmur.
Her body started to break out in a rash that looked very similar to hives. I called Haven (since I'm not a vet) and told them to me this is an emergency and

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
I called from my grooming salon to verify rabies and the old lady at the front desk was so rude over the phone and said “C’MON I DONT HAVE ALL DAY HERE” after i was waiting for her to read back the name i gave her and i told her she didn’t have to be so rude and her excuse was that they’re just busy.. disgusting attitude don’t go there.

We visited this office as a new patient 4 weeks ago and the visit was great. I was looking to get established at an office so if we had something happen, I would have an office to call. Well, this past week I noticed an issue with our pup and let a message on voicemail this past Sunday (6/20) asking for the office to call when they open on Monday so I could make an appointment to bring our pup in. It was 12:30 pm on Monday and I still hadn't received a call so I called in. I was told that they are short staffed because nobody wants to work because of COVID and they were doing the best they could

Only started to go to this vet because my sister recommended them because they have ID cards with their pictures on it. Never once had a good experience. We could never get a real appointment, always drop off at 7am or not at all. We would be charged for the exams for them to look at our dogs yet my sisters bill always said complementary exams. We started going around the same time. They would break up my dogs shots into multiple appointments giving 1/2 doses of one medication at a time (fine if it's safer) but they still charged us for the exams every single time. Never got the same treatment

I have been going to this vet for nine years and have loved them- up until today. Was 8 mins late to apt and they would not see my 16 yr old dog. For the sake of EIGHT MINS! When every time we go we are sitting waiting to be seen for a good 20-30 mins. When I said we would go elsewhere, they weren't concerned at all. I guess being a loyal patient for 9 years means nothing.

All staff (especially Allison and Morgan) are warm, friendly, and professional! The vet always communicates with me directly with a thorough update. I feel I can trust my pups are well taken care of with every vet visit. I love that they provide an ID card with my puppies vaccination record, PHI and photo. I can call any time during business hours whenever I have a concern about my pups and receive immediate feedback.

What a wonderful experience at Haven Animal Hospital today. The staff are incredibly kind, and very helpful. COVID really puts a crimp in things, but Haven didn't let that stop them from working as hard as they did! They continuously came out of the building to notify owners of the current happenings. I was very impressed. Tiffany, Heather, and Dr. Griffin were the folks I dealt with today-- kind and professional! I will definitely go back for vet visits in the future!!

We have three pit bulls and we've been using this vet since we moved to Vegas 3 years ago. Only reason why we kept coming is the fact (assuming it is actually true) that the Dr. has 5 pits herself. But every time our bill at the end of the appointment was twice what we were told. I don't understand how ppl can afford going in for a $80-150 appointment and having to actually pay $340 for just one of my babies. Not to mention we didn't bring the dogs in because they were sick, it was just a regular yearly check up. We finally decided to stop giving them our business and I have to say

Choosing a vet for your furbabies is a difficult decision but the staff at Haven treat them as one of their own. My first experience with them if when I started fostering for Pekes, Paws & Tails. The staff at the front desk is very attentive and welcoming and Dr. Mauro has been incredible! The prices have been more than reasonable. Although I live in Henderson, it's well worth the drive because I know they will be well taken care of. Pekes, Paws & Tails have been using Haven for years and I can see why. I recommend this vet as extremely trustworthy.
