Definitely did not impress me as it was recommended. We went there the first time and ended up trying their hot dogs because there pizza would take over an hour. To me it looked and tasted like a hot dog you would get in a Chicago gas station.
We tried a second time with the pizza. Overall it was ok. I couldn't get passed the sweet sauce. I am doubtful to return again.

I wish it was possible to rate negative stars. Honestly the worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Whoever answeres the phone was a complete a**h**e. Not only did the order arrive 90 minutes after the time of order, but the man on the phone asked me "Have you seen the news? Do you want to come work for us?" Absolutely horrible communication and zero satisfaction on the customer side. Never will I'll give this business my support again and I hope anyone reading this chooses to do the same.

Italia is the best pizza in San Diego. Frank serves up a quality pizza for a fair price. He has kept the cost down with minimal increases throughout the 20 years we have lived in East County. My husband Steve and I always buy pizza on vacation and use Italia's as a comparison, we have not found one yet that we like better. The staff is also friendly and everyone holds the standards of food excellence.

Honestly didn't think much of it when I first seen the place !!! Could hardly tell it was a restaurant.... Me and my husband just moved here and he was craving fettuccine Alfredo ... knowing me being so picky about my food to the point where I can't stand Olive Garden because I think it has no flavor so I am very picky about my pasta .. we got the Alfredo and let me tell you I was shocked by the flavor and how creamy and delicious it was !! Will definitely be coming back !!!

We've been going to Italia for over a decade. I don't know what's happened lately, but tonight's pizza was crap. The dough was over tossed and tough, had barely any cheese and was really small for the price. I get that the economy is driving some of the pricing on ingredients, but this doesn't excuse poorly prepared pizzas and tough dough. I'm very disappointed. The quality has been slipping lately and we are in no hurry to return.

I have gone to Italia for the past 20 years when we moved here from Pacific Beach. Lately, their Hot Torpedo sandwich has become my favorite! They changed the bread and the lettuce and it is absolutely delicious. The drivers are awesome and very kind!

Read great reviews about this restaurant and decided to order pickup for the first time from this establishment. I was horrified by the utterly FOUL presentation of their kitchen and food. Everything inside was filthy dirty, the entire kitchen looks to have not been cleaned in months, if that. Think "kitchen nightmares". The Alfredo sauce was yellow and runny, the "French onion soup" looked like onions in water with leaves- no cheese. My tiramisu had what looked like a finger had mashed it in. I had to throw my entire order in the trash for fear of getting food poisoning. I

- Calzone was huge. 75% was undercooked dough.
- if you order a specialty calzone, you get the filling on the side. Sort of like replacing the marina, with the specialty filling.
- no seasoning was used in any of the orders.
Pros:
- Best customer service out of any pizza shop in El Cajon. Delivery was messed up, corrected immediately, and with a free cannoli.
Overall, I will definitely order from here again only because of the customer service.

Ordered a Margarita pizza. Was extremely greasy, had an insane amount of garlic (to the point of not being able to taste anything else), and the toppings came off the slices as you tried to take them out of the box. My wife and I each had about two bites before throwing the pizza away as it was inedible.

I won't give this no stars because my previous order was fine, but just moved here wanted to try a pizza I ordered at 520 pm from a female employee at 7 pm being concerned I called back I talked to the same woman, she told me she would look into I never got a call back nor my pizza my son was bummed and I was pissed! 2-28 I drove by there and stopped to ask about it and they basically said I was here and I don't remember that order? What the heck so I told him my address on main st and kindly walked out but from here on out I'll try a new joint any recommended in El Cajon please

They have excellent fettuccine Alfredo. It is amazing. I also love their sandwiches. My favorite is their torpedo with french fries. The bread they use is perfection.

Born and raised out of the pizza city (Chicago, Illinois) , and yes we are better than NY pizza so I believe my review is quite accurate though I do not normally leave any. However, as exploring San Diego they have secured the #1 spot for pizza in San Diego! The pizza is perfect, great sauce, perfect amount of cheese and crust taste great! Stopped in tonight for a large works pizza. Ordered the pizza and then went next door for a last chance haircut before another ridiculous 3 week shutdown. Upon completing the haircut I went back to Italia Pizza, waited about 5 minutes and my pizza was ready.
Got home, sliced it up, it was absolutely the best pizza we've had in a very long time. The mixture of ingredients was perfect, the crust was incredible, baked to perfection with a slight crunch, not a bit greasy. Thank you

Honestly, Did not expect the Torpedo to be so delicious! Had read the reviews since I was in the mood for some pizza and then I had to consider getting the torpedo sandwich because I am a sucker for a good italian sandwich. The bread was toasted and delicious, the dressing and meats were on point. Pepperoncinis with the sandwich is a must.
Also, got two slices of pizza fresh to order. What!? Fresh to order? Yes, fresh to order. Ordered two slices of pepperoni and mushroom and they were delicious as well.
