This tight group packs a punch, and aim to bring you the best muscle work a city can ask for. The Bodyworker was opened to separate itself from the over saturated spa-like environments. There are no fancy slippers, no singing whales or Enya. Mini waterfalls make clients think to use the bathroom, and no harmonious sounds of two sea gulls negotiating over the remains of a fish'n'chip order either.
Here at The Bodyworker you will experience the effect of highly trained Therapist's whose goal centralizes around the comprehension of Anatomy, and the Kinesthetics behind pain and/or injury you are suffering from.

Chronic Pain is one, if not the most challenging and under addressed issues in our healthcare system. Our team is thoroughly changing the way people are managing their day to day nagging conditions by pushing the standards of what muscle work can be. Bodywork at our location refers to a deep analytical assessment of muscle tissue and overall wellness.
All of our sessions are tailored to your needs. Our techniques include Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Structural Integration and include a 15 min consultation. Our sessions are ideal for those suffering from everyday stress, sport related issues or maintenance. Clients looking for higher quality then a fluff'n'buff can be rest assured to feel listened to.
A fair cancelation is a confirmed call, email, or text a minimum of 2 hrs before your start time. Any lack of communication within these parameters will result in a 50% cancelation charge. Any time a staff needs to cancel we will communicate with the same expectations and refund of equal charge. A legit cancelation is to be communicated 24 hrs before your start time.
Chronic Pain is one, if not the most challenging and under addressed issues in our healthcare system. Peter started changing the way he viewed muscle tissue after calling out what so many have come to know is the "the cycle". The Cycle exists in most every Eastern and Western medicine practice. You know you are in The Cycle if you've gone in for treatment, you pay to feel better, your lifestyle causes it to come back, you go back in.
This ancient parable is an analogy I use, to explain our current healthcare system. On the issue of Chronic Pain, The blind men are our medical providers today who toil day and night with strong beliefs, highly developed specialized skills who have sacrificed much to get there. But, who also have not learned the total of the parts before diagnosis.

Disclaimer: I never received a massage therapy service from Peter, so I can't comment on that.
When I arrived, I overheard him talking to the client before me. Their discussion continued about 15 minutes into my scheduled appointment time period.
I am extremely grateful for that client, however, because through their discussion I learned that Peter has chosen NOT to be vaccinated. He was unmasked, unvaccinated, and did not provide that information upfront. He acknowledged that there is currently a spike in cases, that the disease is deadly, and that the CDC recommended optional masks for

I've received massages from a few places around the Twin Cities, and Pete at the Bodyworker is hands down the best masseuse I've had (no pun intended). Before starting the massage, he really listens to you as you explain what's going on with your body and what you'd like out of the massage.
While giving the massage, he plays music according to your personal preference. As for the massage itself, it's fantastic.
Afterward, Pete sits down with you again to explain what he noticed, and he provides advice and referrals for addressing deeper issues in your body. After my first massage, he didn't try

Incredibly disrespectful.
I critiqued the quality of service this business delivered and clearly stated in writing I would not be getting massage work from them. Instead of acknowledging the critiques, or even responding to any of my correspondence, the owner (Peter I believe) ignored my emails, texts and calls and then claimed I no-showed for an appointment.
So cool. Professional behavior at its finest.
Take your hard earned money to a business that put customers first.

I really enjoy running, but have been hampered by painful tightness in my lower back. I've been seeing Peter about once a month for the past six or eight months. He has taken the time to speak with me about what my goals are and has clearly and carefully explained what we both can do to help me reach them. Thanks to his help, I've been able to run longer and more strenuously with far less discomfort. I'm very satisfied with Peter's help and intend to be a repeat client for a very long time.

Update: The owner decided to respond with a snarky response claiming I no-showed, instead of reading the email & text chains with his staff. So... screenshots included.
Disrespectful and embarrassing for his business. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Original Review:
Don't waste your time. Their management and communication is messy. Clearly don't know what they are doing or how to take care of customers.
Lots of great places to get a massage in the Twin Cities. Look elsewhere.

Jennifer provided the best deep tissue massage I've had in nearly a decade. She focused on my trigger points with controlled pressure. She listened to my feedback on pressure and any sore spots. She kept the knots from rolling and I'm only sad to not live in the area to be a repeat customer. If you like what I've described, ask for Jennifer.

This review is long overdue but as I'm about to go for my second session with Peter I can not recommend him enough! Dont waste your time with other masseuses who are just going to rub your back. If you have pain- start here! It's not going to be one of those comfortable massages that puts you to sleep and you're probably going to be a little sore afterwards, but he is going to target the painful areas and you'll see results.

Jennifer was awesome! Before beginning the massage she asked me questions about my routine, areas I wanted to focus on (if any), etc.
The massage itself was incredible!!! She kept checking to make sure that it wasn't too hard or too soft but that it was just right!
Great customer service and extreme professionalism - can't recommend Jen highly enough.

I made my decision to book an appointment at the Bodyworker based upon the previous Yelp reviews I read. I will say, everyone who's left a 5 star review is absolutely correct! This place is amazing! I saw Jennifer who was attentive and listened to my needs and concerns. For the entire two hours it was nothing but muscle healing and relaxation. It's hard to find a massage therapist who can really work my muscles, as I have chronic back pain and LOVE deep tissue massage. Jennifer was it though!

I have had chronic neck and shoulder pain for years from unconfirmed reasons. Possibly from an accident 12yrs ago, from my bite changing from dental work, or for hunching and eating much too vigorously. (Or all of the above but especially that last one.)
I usually just go to cheap chair massage places, but I'm finally ready to start investing in my relief. So I found The Bodyworker on Yelp with perf ratings! Peter's massages are the best I've ever gotten, which includes feeling good during the session but also providing some lasting (and rare) relief. It's clear he knows what

Peter is great - super honest about what he can and can't do for you and takes a straight- forward science-based approach to bodywork.
Furthermore, I really appreciate Peter's professionalism in referring me on to some specialists when he quickly determined that his work would not solve the root of my problems. As a result I am finally getting relief after 25 years of suffering chronic pain.
Thank you Peter!!!

My first session with Peter was pretty awesome. He is super professional and made me feel comfortable right away. I really appreciated the 10-15 minute consultation at the beginning as that meant I was the one dictating how we would focus the 60 minute session. This is not a spa experience - it's muscle work and it really feels more clinical. As an athlete I am relieved to have finally found an MT that's passionate about the many muscles of the body and how they all interact to help us perform at our best. I like many others appreciated the fact that he wasn't chatting up a storm

I was in search for a good massage therapists since my therapist moved out of state. I read Brianna's where she had her massage school and I know she would an excellent therapist. Sure enough. With no doubt, she fixed my right side shoulder and arm which have been giving me pain and headache for few weeks. She is one pettite girl, but she has strong hands and able to apply pressure at the right point of muscles which gave me some pain.
I highly recommend this place!

I've gone to Brianna at The Bodyworker many times - it's the best massage I've ever had and I can't see myself going elsewhere. She's friendly, professional, and has some seriously strong hands. You can tell she takes great notes after each massage because she always knows the right questions to ask before getting started to make sure she's hitting the right areas with the right pressure.
The space is just a single room so the entire experience is very streamlined and relaxed. They keep plenty of time between appointments so they are always on time.
Very highly recommend

I purchased the Groupon for three 60 minute massages for $85...such a great deal it was hard to believe! I must say, It was difficult to schedule my first massage. I'm guessing they sold too many Groupons for such a small business. Finally I was able to get in for my massage with Brianna- a new girl the owner hired to help with all the massages sold.
The business itself is located in an older building in NE. Street parking isn't hard to find, otherwise there is a pay lot near by. The massage room is nicely decorated and comfortable. Brianna is an excellent masseur! She uses a variety
