Invisalign(R) takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements Dr. Ceraso plans out for you.
Veneers are porcelain facings that give you a bright, white, and straight Hollywood "celebrity" smile by changing the color, shape, or position of the teeth. This is done by removing a minimal amount of tooth structure from the face of the tooth then bonding a porcelain covering (like a contact lens) over the surface.
A dental crown differs from a filling, which is used to fill or cover only a part of the tooth. When there is too much tooth structure missing, a crown is recommended to cover the entire tooth (known as "capping"). Always focusing upon the highest "quality" for his patients, Dr. Ceraso utilizes crown material that is made from porcelain, metal alloys such as gold, or, in some cases, a combination of the two.
Dental onlays and inlays are a less aggressive approach to restoring a tooth to its natural form, helping restore and maintain the overall health and appearance of your smile. When a simple filling is not sufficiently strong and a crown (cap) is too aggressive, oftentimes an inlay or onlay is the correct choice.
