GPT Greenwood Physical Therapy is a physical therapy practice founded, owned, and operated by Michael Osaki with two locations in the North Seattle area. Since 2003, we offer expert physical therapy services from highly qualified health care practitioners to the Seattle community.

We strive to understand how we can make our client's quality of life better, whether it be lifting their baby up pain free, making it easier to get up from a chair, getting back on the soccer field, or running a marathon. In addition to each provider being a board-certified, licensed professional, many of our providers have obtained specialized certifications within their scope of practice.
Services
GPT Greenwood Physical Therapy was founded by Michael Osaki, PT in January of 2003. Despite the increasing consolidation in the health care space, GPT remains an independently owned and operated small business. One-on-one care: All your treatment will be done exclusively by a licensed physical therapist from beginning to end.
Strains, sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, cumulative trauma, tendonitis, etc. We have evening and weekend hours to prevent lost time on the job. Our business manager is familiar with L&I claims and can assist you with your case should you have any questions. Treatment and prevention of running injuries, including video analysis utilizing the Hudl technique.
Motor vehicle accidents can cause all types of injuries from the minor to the severe. It is common to see everything from muscle strains and whiplash to fractures and joint injuries. Physical therapy is important for healing after a motor vehicle accident, as it helps to reduce muscle spasm and stiffness, improve range of motion, increase strength, and improve overall functional recovery.
Due to the knee's complicated structure and its constant heavy use, it is one of the most common joint injury complaints. Indeed, knee injuries are the cause of around 10 million visits to the doctor or physical therapist each year. Physical therapy helps reduce knee pain and enables the knee to retain its strength and health particularly during recuperation from injury.
Our physical therapy clinic provides cutting edge treatments for fibromyalgia, polymyalgia, and other chronic pain conditions. One effective treatment is the use of myofascial release to restore normal soft tissue mobility. Myofascial release (MFR) is a hands-on approach of evaluating and treating fascial restrictions.

The staff at GPT are all incredibly nice and helpful. Becky Pelton PT is simply amazing! She's extremely knowledgeable, realistic, and, honest. Best PT I've ever had. GPT will always be the place I recommend to my friends!

This being my first time receiving physical therapy, I have nothing to compare GPT to, but they seem to have a nice, clean set-up.

Appointments so far (3 of them) have been on time and Megan has been friendly and helpful with guidance, suggestions, explanations.

I haven't seen/felt any change since the initial reason for going, and I do my daily exercises as the PT explained and encouraged. But I will continue a bit longer to see if it helps in the long run.

Would love to have experienced the quality of care I've been reading about, but it doesn't appear that they accept public health insurance. Quality health care should be available to people who are poor.

My experience at GPT has been great. I feel like the staff really listens and has designed a great program for me. I also love that I get to work with my PT for every visit, as opposed to just seeing them once and then working with trainers for the rest of my appointments.

I've gone to Greenwod PT for 10 years! Rehab after ACL surgery, PT for low back and hip issues, PT after foot surgery. I've been lucky to work with Michael, Jasmine, Erin & Becky. Great location, easy scheduling, friendly office. Everyone seems to truly enjoy what they do and where they work. Makes recovering from surgery and injury a positive experience!

These guys are really good. I've been to a few other PT's in the area but don't compare. Jasmine assessed my back issue and put me on a plan to rebuild my strength. Not too much at the beginning, gradually building over time. I have graduated - with a plan and tools to maintain at home.
Additionally, they are really covid conscious with safety measures in place. I would definitely recommend them!

GPT was my first experience with physical therapy and I would never go anywhere else! After tearing my ACL and Meniscus in an accident, I needed to knock out 3 weeks of therapy ASAP to prepare for surgery. I called a few places that either had no availability or did not respond, and I became very discouraged. Then I found GPT on Yelp and they saved the day! Amanda at reception helped me secure all the appointments I needed and she was so nice and helpful throughout the duration of my therapy.

Initially I saw a few therapists because I needed so many appointments so quickly. Eventually I was

I had a great experience with GPT. After breaking an elbow (radial fracture) I was able to get all the appointments I needed right away to start the healing process. I saw Larissa and Becky and they were both awesome and attentive, really hearing my requests and concerns. They gave me exercises to do at home using everyday household items so I didn't have to find specific weights or exercise equipment I wouldn't normally have at home which I really appreciate.

GPT is awesome! Hannah Wirta at GPT's Ravenna office was great to work with. She put together a great program to strengthen my shoulder and set me up for success. The entire staff is very nice and super professional. Highly recommended.

Thank you Hannah and GPT.

I worked with Greenwood Physical Therapy over the course of eight months, and the experience was overwhelmingly positive. GPT exceeded expectations with regard to level-of-care, facility quality, technological integration, and staff professionalism/hospitality.

I reluctantly reached out in early 2019 to treat gym/sports-related spine and shoulder injuries. It was my first PT experience, and I did not know what to expect. GPT's staff responded quickly, confirmed insurance coverage, and scheduled my first appointment with therapist Jasmine Patterson based on my injuries and availability.

I've been going to GPT for awhile now. I worked with Jasmine both before and after ankle surgery. I can't say enough good things about her!! Surgery was scary for me and I literally would not have made it through without her support and guidance. I even showed up crying one day and she sat with me and listened to what was going on with my foot pain that week. She ended up fixing it because the pain went away the next day! I'm now six months out, "graduated" PT, and cleared by my doc to do all activity. Back to normal and feeling great!

The facility is clean. The front

In the past nine months I had both a hip replacement and a knee replacement. I did my research on where to do my physical therapy. Greenwood Physical Therapy was a total standout. I now understand why. They were awesome. I HIGHLY recommend. Having had way too much experience of the years with injuries requiring PT, I understand the requirements. GPT exceeds them. It is the right balance between politeness and friendliness and being firm. Theresa really had that balance down. The expectations were clear as well as the communication. I ask a lot of questions.... Theresa was engaged, making

I saw Molly Conway at the Greenwood location for abdominal separation (Diastasis Recti) post partum. I'm happy to say the physical therapy helped me recover and prepared me to resume my pre-baby workouts.

For other new moms, you can bring your baby to the appointment!! If you have someone to take care of the baby that makes it easier to focus on yourself during the appointment, but that's not always an option. I don't know the policy on older children.

Plain and simple, working with Megan at Greenwood Physical Therapy changed my life. Before I worked with Megan, I had no idea how to do any kind of exercises, but she gently and patiently helped me learn. Megan is clear, encouraging, extremely knowledgeable, reassuring and optimistic. She gives instruction in a way that is understandable and she adjusted or modified exercises to fit my abilities, then very gradually worked up levels of intensity as I began to gain in strength and range of motion.

I first saw her for vertigo, and between her maneuvers and the home exercises, it cleared it up

I can't say enough good things about the staff at Greenwood PT!! After a knee injury, I chose Greenwood PT because of their fantastic reviews and they didn't disappoint! The entire staff is incredibly kind and flexible to work with any schedule. Larisa was absolutely fantastic to work with! She is so incredibly friendly and kind, making the process a lot more enjoyable. I couldn't have gained my strength back without her expertise!

Hopefully I never have to go back to PT, but if I did I would chose Greenwood PT hands down!

Yesterday was my final PT appointment with GPT and with their help I have made great progress on recovering from a ruptured Achilles's. I worked with Theresa and Megan and they were both outstanding.

I also had an issue with Kaiser not agreeing to pay for my visits and after getting transcripts of calls between GPT and Kaiser I got proof that Kaiser was in the wrong and GPT did everything correctly. All told an excellent experience for a crappy injury!

I haven't been to a physical therapist for decades, due to poor experiences. A doctor recommended GPT for my neck pain and it was the best recommendation I've had in a very long time.

The GPT office is well set up and everyone is efficient and friendly. The PT I'm working with is Kelsey and she is nothing short of amazing. Not only is she helping me tremendously, she is educating me on how to avoid problems in the future. After hearing that I work out and did not want to stop she created a plan that let me continue but without doing anything that would be problematic for my neck

I have been to GPT multiple times now for different injuries. I have always received great knowledgeable care. They are good about calling you if you are on the waitlist for a particular day. I will be going back for sure if I get injured again.

Good days and hours of operation in case you need care on a weekend day. I've enjoyed Physical Therapy appointments here and I seem to be making progress.

However, I didn't really enjoy my massage therapy session with Julie Ann. There wasn't enough pressure for me and it didn't do much. I'm kind of new with massages, so I need more guidance in what should feel good. Also docked off a point because they don't have online scheduling, and appointments with a PT is only 45 minutes. Not sure if that's normal, but at least you're seen by a PT the entire time
