Service was terrible, so unbelievably rude. food was horrible as well . Don’t ever get the wings nor the dumplings . Super disappointed.

I have been going to this restaurant for 15+ years now and the quality has not waned a bit. My wife and I went here in-person for the first time since the pandemic hit and immediately, we were recognized by the waitstaff who is always professional, warm, and on-point. I could not recommend Jani more whether you are looking to eat out or take out.

Place is nice and clean. Plates are medium size portion. Good food! But I waited almost 30 minutes for drinks and hot soup to start eating and did not get my hot tea for which I asked twice. So 4 stars!

My favourite Japanese Restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious. I have tried many things from the menu and they have all been good. The place is very clean and the service is excellent. There is never a rush. I have been back and will continue to go back. The spicy shrimp rice with crab is delicious.

This is the worst food we have ever encountered. We eat out a lot. Don’t go here. Ignore the other reviews. The Salmon terriyaki ramen soup tasted like prison food. No flavor whatsoever, overcooked Salmon in a broth less seasoned than dishwater. The sushi was somewhat acceptable but the crunchy part of my crunchy salmon roll was stale. No crunch. Even the soy sauce was watered down. Skip this place.

Ended up here on a whim. The waiter/maitre'd was very kind. The seating was comfortable. We both got the lunch specials, nice portions. My egg roll arrived hot and crispy and my daughter's wonton soup was very savory. I asked for cashews as an add on and it was no problem. All was tasty, hot and satisfying. Definitely would visit again!

Food and drinks are really good... but the service is absolutely horrible. There seems to be only one waiter who works there and they clearly need more help. On both occasions that we visited this location we waited about 45 mins to an hour for drinks and appetizers. Ample parking in the back.

This review was long overdue! Starting off with the owner Alex who is an amazing host! He goes out of his way for the customers , comes to each table and asks if everyone is having a good time! He is ever ready to tweak the items as per our taste! Every food item is amazing and flavourful! Will definitely recommend anyone and everyone to go there!

Went as a group of 5 on a Saturday night and were sat immediately. The place looks clean and there's plenty of parking. We each got any three hand rolls +soup+ salad for only $14. They also give you complimentary tea and wonton strips. The food was alright, nothing impressive. The service was subpar from both the manager and the waiter. Overall not the best but also not the worst

LOVE this place! The Chinese food is good and the sushi is excellent. I love finding a restaurant that serves both(since my mom doesn't eat sushi) and Jani more than fits the bill. My mom and I usually make our own pu-pu platter by ordering Shrimp Lo Mein(no carrot), Chicken & Broccoli, and Chicken Fried Rice. I'll usually start with an order of California and Kani rolls. We usually take some to-go and have another meal or two at home. We definitely get our money's worth. The manager usually greets us and seats us. He is very nice, hands us the napkins as well as check on us

I come here about 4 times a month because it's so close to my house and pretty damn convenient for me. I usually stick to the Japanese Cuisine side of the menu because I love Sushi. I always get the Specialty Rolls and they never fail to disappoint. The fish is always VERY fresh. I recently had the Rainbow Seafood and it was magnificent. The interior is very nice and elegant too. They recently redid the place not too long ago. The parking is in the back. This place may not be the best, but it is right up there with the best.

FANTASTIC lunch always. I pop in once twice a year and this restaurant is always the best in service, portion and definitely in taste.

I love coming here because the staff is so friendly and makes you feel like family. We came for my friends birthday, who is a regular there, so he knows the owners & staff well & they're always so accommodating to his large group. I ordered the jani special, which was the exact 'Caribbean style' drink I needed, not too sugary despite the curaçao. I wasn't super hungry so I got a few small things-shrimp roll, steamed vegetable dumplings and mango and avocado sushi roll. I've never had the roll with mango before and I was not disappointed! The ramen had few ingredients and the pasta was overcooked. Also, we ordered 3 exact same ramens but they had different pasta in them. They do provide on the house chips as a starter for big tables. I have never gotten this at any other Asian place.

Chinese food here is decent. Not my favorite place, but it's within walking distance from my job and that's what keeps me coming back. I didn't like the chicken and broccoli. the sweet and sour chicken is very good, but they put the sauce on it so it looses its crispiness. Ask for sauce on the side!
I haven't tried the Japanese cuisine, I've read mixed reviews.

I have been going here for over 20 years, never had a bad experience. Really good chicken, seafood and vegetarian food. Also has great shrimp sui mai. Really nicely renovated recently, enjoy!

I went with friends and we had scrumptious pork buns, delectable lo mein and some really lovely shrimp and scallops and a spicy chicken.

All really good. And the service was friendly and wonderful.

I stopped by to get a few sushi rolls (Alaska roll and Rainbow rolls) for dinner. Even though I enjoyed eating the sushi and through the fish was fresh, the prices here were a few dollars too high and the sushi rolls are smaller than the ideal size. I would suggest making bigger sushi rolls and lowering the price. That would make the crowd come back often. The people inside are friendly and the seating area looked pleasant. This is my go to lunch spot since I work in hicksville, but I visited for dinner the other night and it was delicious. Their egg drop soup isn't thick or liquidy, just right. They have amazing shrimp dumplings and the service is so quick and friendly. Recommend this if you want something different especially before catching a movie

I really enjoyed my meal here after a long day at work.
Started off with a nice big Sapporo, which the waiter poured in a glass for me.
Then out came the huge home-made fried noodles and duck sauce! One of my favorite things.

As my appetizer, I ordered the Crystal shrimp dumplings which were probably the best dumplings I have ever had. Soft and cooked to perfection, with a fantastic display to top it off.

For my entree I got the pan fried noodles with scallops, crab, shrimp, chicken and broccoli. It was definitely different, as half of the noodles were hard as if they weren't cooked and

I've been coming here for years with my family and I never wrote a review. This review is long overdue. My boyfriend and I came on New Years Eve to bring in 2018.

We started off with soup because Long Island has been super cold lately! I had egg drop soup, and my boyfriend had egg drop wonton. Super hot and super delicious!

For an appetizer we had fried pork dumplings. Fried to perfection and full of pork. Nice and flavorful. Mmm!

For my entree I got Szechuan chicken. A little spicy and full of flavor. The menu says it comes with shredded chicken, but I got it sliced.

The owner Alex & his lovely wife always make sure you have an enjoyable meal & take care of you. They are very personable. On CNY they give you a gift too! I've been a regular since 1998 & have never been disappointed!
