Bringing your pet to West Charleston Animal Hospital for physical examinations is crucial to his or her health. We offer thorough physical examinations so that we can detect any potential problems ahead of time. There are many pet health problems that could be avoided through regular physical exams, which is why we recommend that your pet has at least two examinations with our staff per year.
1 out of 3 pets will get lost at some point in their lifetime. Without identification, 90% will not return home. The Home Again Microchip is a safe, non-migrating microchip with an unalterable 10 digit code which lasts the entire life of your pet. The chip is approximately the size of a grain of rice and is injected between your pet's shoulder blades.
All residents living within the city of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson are by law required to license their pets. People residing in the unincorporated area of Clark County are no longer required to have a pet license. In order to obtain a license for your pet you must have a current Rabies certificate.

This was my new customer exam with Dr. Jones. for my English Bull Dog. The place looked clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. Dr. Jones is very knowledgeable. However, the wait time for a room was long and the total visit lasted almost two hours. I will be staying with them but hope this isn't standard.

Arrived at 12:00pm as a walk in, I understand that usually walk ins are not seen right away but we did not get called back into a room until 4:30pm, even then they had no idea why we were there in the first place. The staff seemed to not be in a rush to see their patients and the only excuse they gave was that our appointment kept being pushed down, by who? I will never know. If you value your time I recommend you search else where for veterinary care for your pet. Even now 20 minutes later we have yet to see a DR

I have been bringing my animals, both my own and fosters, for thirty years. Lately they have too many non vets doing vets things. Last year I suspect one accidently killed my cat. What they told me and what I observed didn't add up. I can tell when something isn't right. I brought her home, no blood, no drips. They are very busy and have been slacking in who they employ. The vets are great the kids though are questionable.

Today was Pumpkins 2nd visit there. The first one was just a few days ago with Dr. Johnson for her first check up. During that check up we had some concerns that ultimately lead us back today…
Pumpkin was sneezing and breathing with her mouth open all night. I was able to walk into the office and be seen in less than an hour…. Dr. Jon answered all my questions and also told me she was much younger than I had that. Pumpkin and will definitely be back

This animal hospital are horrible and not organized. If you’ll come here for an appointment no matter how long you inform them that you are in a rush the staff will take sweet time and does not care that your time is valuable. They need more staff in order to meet the demand of their customer, i would not recommend them, i would say find somebody who can truly care and assist your pet, this will be my first and last time to be in this hospital.

Have been taking my pets here for the past decade but in the past year they've gotten worse. I always make an appointment but the waiting room is consistently packed regardless of when I make the appointment. It can literally take an hour and a half just to get into the waiting room. Doesn't seem to be very well cleaned down between visits. They seem to be taking on way more than they can actually handle and I find that incredibly concerning.

What a wonderful experience to be with Dr. Johnson and the West Charleston Animal Hospital team! They really love your pets and want to take good care of them. I never feel like they do too much, there preventatives are voluntary and perfect, and the atmosphere is great! My only suggestion is to hire more front desk staff, you never have enough and the phones always ring!

My puppy Clyde started going to the office at 7 weeks when he broke his leg. We were in there almost weekly because I swear he just chewed his cast off or got into something to see his ladies! I truly feel like they really care about you and your animal! I will never take Clyde anywhere else. He loves Paige and for good reason, she is awesome! I always tell him that he is going to see his girlfriends every nail trim! They are also super affordable and I have never had an issue making an appointment and getting right in! Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️
