At Chenoweth Animal Hospital, pets are cherished members of our families, and we believe we have a special responsibility to offer you and your pets the very best veterinary care available. Busy lives sometimes make scheduling an appointment difficult. Take advantage of our extended early morning and evening hours or schedule your pet to be dropped off with pick-up at your convenience.
There are several shots puppies and kittens require. As with children, several booster shots must be given so that the puppy or kitten can build up antibodies to the infections vaccinated for. To best house train your puppy, it is recommended that you purchase a small carrier or kennel that gives the puppy enough room to turn around.
Chenoweth Animal Hospital has been serving the veterinary needs of St. Matthews area and surrounding communities since 1985. We were founded by Dr. Ann T. Nevils, a 1981 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. Fees charged for services are based on the support needed to maintain the high quality of care we are proud to provide.

Thank you to the wonderful Dr and staff. They made the passing of my oldest cat as easy as possible. Such kind loving people. They treated my pet with such kindness. They was the most affordable place and so close to home. And a big kiss and hug from rocky, the office cat was just what I needed when I left. He won't let you leave if you're not smiling. Safe to say we have found our new family vet.

I just got a kitten from a family friend who found the litter outside and abandoned. Being a first time pet owner living on my own I was very nervous about taking him to his first vet visit. I’m so glad I chose Chenoweth. Everyone is so nice and understanding. They answer all of your questions and make sure your pet gets the best care for a great price!
