Anglesea was the first permanent settlement on the 5 mile beach known today as "The Wildwoods". And it was done so by fisherman. In 1906 the town voted to change the name to North Wildwood. The reason for the name change was a way to absorb some of the development the neighboring town of Wildwood was experiencing over the previous decade.
Wildwood is the first city and cornerstone of the island. This is where you want to be if you are here strictly for the boardwalk, Morey's Piers, and beaches. The majority of the Wildwoods boardwalk is in the City of Wildwood itself. With only 10 blocks of the boardwalk in North Wildwood the remaining 2.5 miles of boards are in Wildwood Crest.
West Wildwood could easily be consider the hidden gem of the Wildwoods. This off the beaten path section of the island is great place for fishing and relaxing. Hidden over a small bridge off of Glenwood Avenue this borough offers a great sense of community. A must do in West Wildwood is to get up early and get breakfast on the elevated deck over the water at Crow's Nest Cafe.
The rest of the Wildwoods might not be as quick to give them that title, but that's okay, each town has amazing things to offer. The Crest is a quiet and dry (alcohol free) town. This combined with the towns large clean beaches makes it perfect for young families. A must do when staying in Wildwood Crest is a morning bike ride down the beautiful beach front bike path don't have a bike?

Upon arrival we discovered several electrical problems and I was told by the repair man that an amateur had done the electrical work leaving me and my family exposed to risk of electrical shock. Apparently the amateur attached the hot cable to the case ground on the dryer. . When I complained about this I was dismissed and upon returning home we were further insulted by a "trash fee" of $100. This, after I put out seven cans full of their previous tenant's trash. Looks like my stay was a typical experience, from what others have reported here. Oh, and the address was 339E Pine Ave

Poor customer service! Never received an email about the check in procedures for a condo that we rented. I went to the office and the woman there was completely clueless. When I pointed out that on the lease it states to come to the office for check in, they said it says that on all of them. Why not change the wording on the lease in order to make it less confusing? When I got to the condo, I had to call the office because I couldn't figure out which lock box to open. It took a while, but eventually it was taken care of. We arrived in Wildwood in early afternoon, knowing that we could not enter until 4pm, which was fine. We had two small children with us, and were hopeful that we could gain entrance before 4, but that didn't happen. Not necessarily their fault, but no accommodation was made. We were informed, however, that usually renters could get in early and we would be texted when that would be. We were never texted. We rented 339A E Pine Ave for the week of July 4th 2021.
The location is awesome.
We found the place very clean and the a/c worked well.
The first night we discovered that the brand new looking dryer was not working.
We checked the breaker panel and found the breaker turned off.
I reset the breaker to find the dryer showing an error code.
The real estate office was quick to dispatch a someone I was introduced as a GE Technician.
This technician told me that the control board was "fried" on the brand new dryer because the outlet had been wired wrong.
The danger was not that of fire, but

UPDATE:
Don personally called my wife and my father-in-law to apologize and try to make things right. He was extremely transparent about the issues and didn't make any excuses. It took a few days but it sounds like they have a plan in place to prevent an issue like we had from happening again. Kudos to him.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
My in-laws booked my wife, 10 month old son and I a room through VRBO. We had a week booked. They received this email the morning of check-in. When we arrived, there was no lock box. Worse still, their office closed at 4pm. There was no response on our numerous voice-mails

So I’ve never written a review before but feel compelled to do so now. This was my second time renting a place from them. I’ve read some of the bad reviews about this company and truthfully I don’t believe some of them. The second day into my week long vacation the dryer broke at 6:30 pm after normal business hours. I called and honestly I’ve never had a company be so attentive and great at communicating. They managed to get someone out there after hours to fix the issue very quickly. I couldn’t have been more relieved. They will always be my first choice for renting in Wildwood.

We had an AMAZING time at our vacation unit. I booked last minute (5 days before arrival) and everything went very smooth. We stayed in Wildwood, Baker Avenue, and it was the PERFECT location. Dorri DeBona was our associate and she was outstanding. They were always available via phone and when I had a question, she told me she would ask and call me back. She called back within 5 minutes! We are totally in love with the location and townhome we rented. This will be our preferred spot from this point forward and we will definitely work with Dorri again! She was so pleasant, friendly and professional

Despite having a poor experience I wasn't going to write a review but since I just received a follow up email asking for one, here goes:

We received our keys just fine, everyone was polite. After getting to our place we quickly realized that someone was still in our rental because there was loud music coming through the door. We called Don Martin and were told that the cleaning people were still there because the previous tenants really left the place trashed. We waited and finally got in to our rental about an hour and a half late and with three kids under the age of 5 seemed like an eternity

Loved everything about our experience, Location was KEY! The house was in tip top shape. The only snag we ran into was the trash. Clearly the people before us did not put the trash out or take care of it so we had to load our cars and take it to Angelsea and drop it off.

We rented a three bedroom condo through Don Martin Realty in the summer of 2019. The condo was clean, well stocked and just where we wanted to be in Wildwood. We had an issue with the garage door opener, called the office and a repairman was there within the hour. We had a good experience so naturally we went to them for a rental this year.

Terrible customer service, not professional at all, withholds security deposit money without any documentation.

2 weeks went by following departure from our rental and our security deposit was not returned, after numerous follow ups, we received a response , was given a total amount being held for a alleged lost item, extra cleaning charges as well as a unknown maintenance fee. No receipt was provided to show replacement of the alleged lost item and no explanation as to what extra cleaning charges were for. Please allow me to expand just a little on Mike G's review, since I paid for the other half of the rental of that particular unit. As he said, there was food everywhere. Chips on the floor in the living room, 2 of the bedrooms and crushed up cake in the rug under the kitchen table and behind one of the chairs in the living room. The first night of our week my son decided to sit on his bed and the mattress fell right to the floor. One of the mattress supports had been broken in half. It wasn't like the previous renter went to a lot of trouble to hide it because the support was leaning

Very unprofessional. We had several issues with our rental unit which were not properly handled. I don't expect everything to be perfect but i do expect them to be fixed. Our contact Diane didn't seem like she cared at all. Even hung up on us at one point. Unit was extremely dirty , cleaning people even came back a second time and place looked no better than before. There was a bar a soap stuck in toilet which should have been picked up on by cleaners but wasn't. We paid a lot of money for our unit and don't expect to be treated that way. Rented a condo at Surf Song from Don Martin Reality and while the room was well decorated there was not a single staff member on premises. There were multiple unsupervised children at the pool who repeatedly jumped on and hurt members of my family including my youngest daughter. While I understand there is no life guard on duty for life saving purposes there should be staff members on site to address issues especially ones that involve guest safety. Beyond unacceptable to come on vacation and have members of our party injured and upset the first day.
