Glencoe Animal Hospital
Glencoe Animal Hospital requires all persons inside the building to wear a mask, regardless of vaccine status, for your protection and that of people (including children) who cannot receive the vaccine or are immunocompromised. Not all of our exam rooms allow for 6 feet of distancing, so, for this reason, we are still offering curbside service for those who elect it.

We will only be permitting one person to escort their pet(s) into the exam room at this time.
Services
Glencoe Animal Hospital is a full-service, privately owned small animal hospital that has been caring for the pets of Chicago's Northshore since 1947. It is our promise to provide you with personal care, understanding, and compassion. Your pet is an important part of your family, and when he or she is ill, you want the best medical care available.
The single greatest contribution to improving life spans in humans has been dental care. This holds true for our pets as well. Preventative dental care and dental prophylaxis are important in helping to prevent future medical problems. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line.
Our in house laboratory and radiology equipment allow us to quickly and thoroughly evaluate your pet's health. Radiology - or X-rays - help our veterinarians evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We also have equipment to screen for high blood pressure and glaucoma.
Each year, thousands of pets go missing, and many don't make it back home. Many pets (especially indoor pets) don't wear collars or tags. Even if your pet wears a collar and identification tag, collars can break off and tags can become damaged and unreadable, so these forms of identification may not be enough to ensure your pet's safe return.
From the very first day you bring a new pet home through the final days of its life, nutrition plays a critical role in your pet's overall health and well-being. Many pet owners take nutrition for granted, in part because the availability of so many nutritionally complete commercial diets has taken much of the guesswork out of choosing a suitable diet for a pet.
