Services
At the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, we strive to provide comprehensive, knowledgeable, strengths-based assessment & counseling for children, teens, adults, and families. The Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling was founded in 2014 by Dr. Jeremy Sharp.
After running a solo practice in Fort Collins since 2009, Dr. Sharp reconnected with Dr. Molly McLaren - a fellow graduate of Colorado State University's Counseling Psychology PhD program - to meet northern Colorado's growing need for psychological assessment and counseling.

We aim to serve as many people of this community as we can - and our clinical staff reflects that desire. Our clinicians bring a wide variety of life experience, education, and expertise so that you can find the help you need! Thorough yet convenient and discrete assessment for jobs, the legal system, and individuals.
We specialize in comprehensive psychological testing & evaluation for children, teenagers and adults. A full assessment can help figure out if it's truly a clinical concern - not just immaturity, typical developmental issues, or lack of study skills, among other things. We typically schedule testing days from 9am to 3pm with an hour long break at noon for lunch.
Many children and adults struggle with reading and assume that they just aren't smart enough to "get it." This can lead to decreased confidence, acting out, and avoidance of school work altogether. Much like poor vision, dyslexia is something that we're born with - and something that can be treated once it has been identified.

You have to book assessments online. I selected the next available which was three weeks out.
They didn't indicate at any time that this was a pre-screening call prior to assessments, which were booked out *8 months* to May 2022.
I could have made alternate arrangements and had my issue resolved or at least scheduled if they had communicated this in advance, which would have been incredibly easy for them to do. It's incredibly frustrating.

One of the most important part of one's experience with a counseling center like this, is to feel like they are being heard out and taken seriously. During my assessment, I felt like the staff valued my time and desire to learn about myself so that I am able to take the knowledge and positively move forward with it. Something to mention is that I have been in and out of hospitals and treatment centers all my life, so I have a good eye for quality care; the staff here holds a high rank in my opinion.

The staff and doctors are wonderful, very kind and effective in answering insurance questions, scheduling, and general communication. My experience/treatment with Dr. Andrea Alvarado has also been stellar, they made me feel so comfortable and I am doing really well for the first time in a long time. Couldn’t be more grateful for this institution!

Got a call once again today saying I never payed my bill for assessment counseling at CAC and I have once again been sent to collections by them. I paid them by money order from the US Postal service in 2018 because their billing office never returned my calls(or the insurance agency's) trying to pay them before my bill was due, I called 2x a week for several months. I have a signed copy of the deposited money order, signed by Dr. Jeremy Sharp. I really don't think its right to prey on low income at risk students with learning disabilities, especially when I had to pay a different company another

Well the service my child received there was fine. The communications with the office and billing is absolutely horrible. We never got a bill from them and then they turned my 10 year old kid over to collections. I am still in the process of getting this all sorted out but no one ever answers the phone or tries to help you!

CCAC has so many competent and amazing therapists/psychologists on staff. They offer affordable, reliable, and thorough evaluations. Their providers rely on evidence based practices that prove to help those they serve. I refer clients here constantly and feel confident that they will be a great fit for your healing journey!
