My daughter wanted her nails done for her birthday. She searched google for images of what she wanted. The image she found was a set of nails with very exquisite nail art, something that would require a very talented nail artist! We searched and with the help of several very positive reviews found Star nails and hair. We drove from St Augustine to Jacksonville to give them a try. They did NOT disappoint!! WOW! The girl who did my nails was extremely nice as well as everyone else at the salon. She did a great job on the shape, length and color of my nails. Unfortunately, my acrylics starting lifting 2 days later...which is sad because this has never happened to me before even when I used an at home gel kit myself. $60 for 2 day nails is unacceptable. Please train your employees to do better.

Broke a nail and this place was recommended. Very spacious and bright. My appointment was in the evening. No waiting upon my arrival. There were 2 workers on-site. I wanted ombre, dipped nails. I suppose one lady didn't know how to do what I requested. She went and got the other lady and she informed me that she wasn't good at it and didn't want to charge me for something they couldn't do. This was fine with me and very appreciated. Up front discussion settled everything. The first lady did a wonderful job on the getting my nails prepped for the other lady to step in and do the ombre. This has become my go to for pedicures and haircuts. What a fantastic thing that I can get both in the same place. It's so convenient and everybody that works there is super nice.
They have the usual pedicure chairs and you can get the volcano pedicure if you like which I usually do. They have 1 million kinds of gel nail polish and sparkles and colors and whatever you want they have it. The place is quite large and it is clean. There is nice clean bathrooms if you need it. They offer waxing and other services as well.
