Nancy is AMAZING!! I tipped her well, treat her nice. I finally found someone. I was in desperate need of a real massage. It was easy booking last minute thankfully, next time I'll give more notice, luckily it's only a few miles from me. I was hesitant but the Yelp reviews were good and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Her style matches what I look for, I just knew immediately and I'm not easy to please. If I say it's good, it's dam good believe me!

Getting an appointment was easy. Looks sanitary to me plus it looks like they follow COVID protocols well. I did the communal room special, so I can't speak for the private rooms, but this area and the reception was well-kept. The price is incredibly low- less than a $1 a minute. However, the deep tissue massage was not good at all. There is a difference between firm and pain-inducing. Also, what's the point of me marking areas of concern, if it wasn't even focused. UPDATE: recently moved to this lovely area and gave them another try. Called and was able to come right in. My masseuse applied the absolute perfect amount of pressure & paid special attention to my sorest areas - without me having to even tell her where they were.

Got the 2-hour combo. This is the VERY FIRST TIME I've ever fallen ASLEEP during a massage. GOOD JOB! I will be going back every week.

Great price and high quality service! The deep tissue massage is truly a DEEP tissue massage. The foot reflexology service includes over the clothes body massage, but it is much less pressure than the deep tissue one.

I have visited this spa several times now. Each time I have been very happy. Nancy is very good and I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I like that they give me a dry erase form to fill out to specify areas that I would like more attention on. I would highly recommend this spa.

Terrible massage. The masseuse used his elbow to dig into my spine. He never used his hands to knead through my knots. I left feeling more tense than I was when I got there. They also expect you to tip a certain amount and look at you to make you feel bad if you don't.

It was easy to get an appointment for two people. The price is great and the place is clean and nicely decorated. In regards to the massage:
I felt like it was closer to a sports massage. The guy come in and I felt like a slab of meat he was determined to tenderize. When he came across muscle knots, he went in full elbow and knees. I remember thinking, thank goodness I didn't request hard pressure. This was medium level! Also, I appreciated that he didn't go easy on me because I'm a woman (maybe he did?).

You start facing up start and soaking your feet in hot hot water. They then massage your shoulders, neck, arms, and then the feet and legs. They added hot stones in the mix before flipping you over and laying you on your belly so they can working more on your back.

Cons: they don't seem very well trained in the art of massage. My last massage consisted of the masseuse rubbing their forearm up and down my back, with an occasional elbow jab. The hot stones were also BURNING hot - far too hot to be placed on bare skin.

Hidden gem. I feel so grateful to have found the Piedmont Family Spa (PFA) today...had been feeling tight and stressed all week and called PFA and they were able to fit me in the same day. I got a 2 hr massage/foot combo with Sufe (sp?) and came out feeling like putty, happy and relaxed. Enjoy! :)

Masseuse has long nails (?) and does not feel like she knew what she was doing. Find a cleaner, better place - this is not worth.

Simple, clean and great price. Worth noting that Piedmont Family uses acupressure massage, so it can feel like they are massaging bone when in fact they are releasing pressure points. More painful (and for some, probably less relaxing) than Swedish deep tissue.

Massage therapists at Piedmont Family Spa, overall, have good massage techniques that provide healing touch. They are always willing to adjust their level of pressure if asked to.

Low quality massage. The masseuse was more on the bones than the muscles. Prices were NOT justified at all.

I work as a massage therapist and I come to Piedmont Spa weekly for a tune-up. The staff are warm and attentive, and the therapists are well-trained and professional. I've tried out several foot spas in the area, including Kume, and this is by far the best bang for your buck and the best massage.

As far as the other reviews about the pressure to add gratuity, I encourage all patrons to tip at least 20% (I leave $20-40). Considering how little they are charging for an hour reflexology, it is important to fairly compensate the practitioners. In addition, you are supporting a family-owned

Warning! Confirm your price before your massage. I was up charged 50% for not paying in cash.
Disappointing. Booked a 2 hour foot massage listed at 60 for Two hr on the website. When massage was over I was told the special was cash price. Credit cards pay full price of $90. 50% up charge after service is performed is outrageous.

The location is easy to find with ample free street parking. The spa is very clean. I love the minimalist decor, nothing too stimulating, which is calming. The rooms are dimly lit, which I appreciate. The room was a bit cold, so they did have a space heater, which oddly was turned off halfway through my massage. This is a nice place for what it is. This is not therapeutic massage so if you need something therapeutic, find another place. I came in for the foot massage and it encompasses more than that! It's a whole body clothed rubdown with extra emphasis on the feet and calves. It was lovely and very inexpensive so I would be happy to return for another.

Clean new facility. Excellent Grand Opening price. Friendly staff. Best of all, excellent skills and massage provided by Linda. Absolutely best massage since my stay in Korea over 10 years ago. I have tried so-called "upscale" facilities that costs nearly triple times more in East Bay area yet I have received much much better massage here than any other places. Street parking should not be a problem within very short walking distance. I'll definitely be going here on more frequently for my well-being.

This is my new favorite spot. Best massage I have had in years. I've been back 4 times in 2 months. The foot massage includes a full body massage in a plush recliner (clothes on). They use hot stones on your feet, which is heaven. Perfect pressure. You'll feel like a million bucks afterwards. Clean, friendly, and an hour of heaven for 30 bucks. Honestly, why wouldn't you go?
