I'm a counseling psychologist based in Providence, Rhode Island. This website has information for anyone interested in working with me for online counseling, or my work on campus mental health systems. In addition to my practice, I am the Global Director of Mental Health & Wellness at Minerva University, and I was previously the Director of Counseling & Psychological Services at Brown University.
I hope you find something helpful while you are here, and please contact me here with any questions or interest in working together. If you are just getting started in your search for a therapist, or are looking to deepen your understanding of the options, please check out my Client's Guide to Counseling.

Services
Helping people improve their lives has always been important to me. I saw my first counseling client in 2003, and from that point forward, this work has been a part of my life. I have an integrative approach that is practical and strengths-based, and incorporates a large range of tools from various other systems of therapy (relational-interpersonal, CBT, ACT, solution-focused, etc).
The things that bring people into my office span a wide range. Some people are doing really well in their lives and like having a place to process things with someone who is objective and understands them. Others are looking to improve more serious relationship problems, anxiety, depression, anger, substance use, and other difficult situations.
The Flexible Care Model (previously known as the Urgent Care Model) is a mental health treatment delivery system focused primarily on college campuses. There is a broad trend internationally for college students seeking help for mental health concerns in record numbers. This has taxed nearly all university counseling centers, and has created the need for a re-imagining of mental health care on campus.
