Gracie shakes upon entering this facility and I think it's the scale. I know the feeling. Then she remembers she'll get a cookie soon, so the tail wags. Dr. Whiting brings the tail wagging to capacity with her friendliness and charm. And this visit isn't as long as her "spa" day, so she puts up with it. Gracie is our second dog to enroll in Mesquite's practice; we've been "members" since 2007. If you want outstanding customer service, friendliness, and most of all, compassion, choose these wonderful folks!

Over the last several months I have been privy to the inner workings of Mesquite Veterinary Hospital. Through the insight I’ve gained, it has reshaped the way I view animal care… for the absolute worst.
Founder, Owner, and Lead Veterinarian Dr. Baker sets the tone for his hospital by fostering a culture of complete disregard and disgrace to any level of wholesome nurturing care one would expect for the health of an animal family member.
The toxic culture Dr. Baker implemented at Mesquite permeates into every facet of the hospital. His oppressive leadership style is hostile, combative, condescending

Very nice people BUT they are very over priced. Over charged and had no intention of coming forward about it until the decision was made not to do the procedure and later got a refund! They forget to do the simplest things such as taking a temperature on a new dog they've never seen before. I've never been impressed by the care they give, except a simple a simple vaccination maybe.

Be advised that this was my second terrible experience with Mesquite Veterinary Hospital. I called ahead at 7:00 AM and left a message that I would be there promptly at the 8:00 AM opening with my rescue pup who had consumed a burger wrapper and was throwing up and frothing at the month.
When I arrived I was told by the rude and condescending receptionist that they weren't accepting any new patients. My Golden Retriver "Red" died there for God's sake.
Don't waste your time nor money with Mesquite Veterinary Hospital. I, for one, will never step through the door again.

I needed a new vet after moving and was lucky enough to get an appointment here. We went on a Saturday and though it was a bit of a hassle with having to call and wait outside when it's near 100°, but our experience inside made it all worthwhile. Dr. Quick was exceptional. She listened intently to all my concerns and helped figure some things out for my boy. She is kind, respectful, and smart. Can't beat THAT combination!

I've been with Mesquite for 30+ years, ever since Dr Baker opened his practice in Catalina. The Mesquite team always take excellent care of my pets, and of me! I don't live in Catalina any more, but would not consider anywhere else, just to be closer. Thank you, Mesquite! I appreciate all the years of truly excellent care!

My husband and I feel so grateful that we found Dr Alcott for our sweet Chloe. Dr Alcott took extra care with her and never made us feel guilty or push us into doing anything that wasn't right for us or Chloe. This clinic is SO different from our last one and we cannot recommend them enough. Even during Chloes last days, Dr. Alcott put us at ease and shared her thoughtful wisdom with us. What a gift they are to our community.

Awful awful vet. The staff is extremely rude. They don't like animals although you think they would. My dog has never had any issues with any vet. And he has terrible anxiety here. They complain every single time and ask if he is anxious upon arrival. He has never had issues with any vet before. We are new to the area and on the hunt for a new vet. We can't go inside with him due to COVID and we are unsure as to why he is so anxious. The staff is rude and the wait time is awful. I recommend you do your research before coming here. Also they are very overpriced.

Our Jack Russell Terrier, Mady, was bitten by a rattlesnake on Wednesday mid-morning. We call Mesquite Vet Hospital and told them we were on our way. They literally were waiting in the parking lot for us and had the room all set up with IV, pain killer with the anti-venom thawing. Both Doctors happened to be there and assessed Mady & started treatment right there and then. Mady had never been there before but they treated us as though they knew us as family. The tech sat down and read through the home care instructions word for word, which I really appreciated. Great follow up phone calls

Since I moved up to Catalina, AZ 2 years ago I've been taking my doggies and kitties here for our veterinary care. They're usually able to fit me in last minute and provide awesome care for my four-legged kids. The vets are very knowledgeable and kind and compassionate and loving with my kids!
I highly recommend them!

My German Shepherd received very good care from Dr Baker He preformed a complete exam and was able to provide an accurate diagnosis of the problem
Unfortunately that diagnosis was bleeding cancer on Cash's spleen and liver
However they did not have an ultrasound that could confirm that diagnosis So I took Cash to an emergency vet hospital that was able to confirm Dr Baker's diagnosis
The staff were all very caring and treated Cash with great compassion and the price was fair
I highly recommend Mesquite Vet clinic

Never had a good experience at this veterinary practice. Some really BAD EXPERIENCES. They are overpriced and take advantage of our area with its many retirees. I would not take any animal to this place. One vet had the absolute NERVE to tell my service dog "NO!!" when she patted the vet with her paw, something she did for me when I needed her to. Idiots- all of them.
Beware and take your pet elsewhere!!
