Scott Hargrove has been serving discerning residential clients for over 40 years. In 1977 Scott formed Scott Builders in Thousand Oaks, California and began building custom residences in many of its most prestigious areas including Malibu, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Ventura and Santa Barbara.
Over the course of the next 16 years the company successfully completed over 75 multi-million dollar luxury homes for a diverse clientele. Some of these homes were as large as 8,000 square feet and built in conjunction with nationally recognized architects such as Barry Berkus. In 1993 Scott and Kristi, his wife and co-owner, chose to relocate their business to the mountains of Colorado.

Hargrove & Kidd Construction has a distinguished reputation in the Crested Butte community, which is founded on experience, craftsmanship, and professionalism. We are proud to build beautiful homes in this mountain paradise. Our new name reflects the addition of longtime employee, Jason Kidd, as a partner of Hargrove & Kidd Construction.
Jason worked for Hargrove Construction for 15 years before becoming a partner in 2018. He started as a laborer and worked his way up to project manager and as of 2021 the president of Hargrove & Kidd Construction. As the general contractor Jason will work with clients directly to facilitate their new home.
