Excellent food and the staff is friendly. Bartender Dave made the night by engaging us on bourbon selections. I will come back every-time we are in town.

Awesome atmosphere and even better food. I started with the crab fingers, which were a special, at my server Shannon’s recommendation. They were prepared perfectly and were so tender I couldn’t eat them fast enough. I then ordered the surf n turf which was a 7 oz filet and 5 oz lobster tail. The lobster was prepared perfectly. It was piping hot, tender, and full of that fresh ocean taste. The filet was cooked magnificently to a medium rare with perfect grill marks on the outside, and seasoned perfectly. I have been to this place at least a half dozen times this year and it has yet to disappoint. Easily one of our favorite restaurants in Knoxville. The fried calamari is good shareable app. The clam chowder (if they have it) it a must. My bf will literally come here for lunch just for the clam chowder. It is so good and you don't get a bunch of potatoes. The scallop chowder is equally as good! We loved both the oysters Rockefeller and Chesapeake's as well. We usually get the fish that is on special so make sure to ask what their specials are! Crab cake is also great and full of crab meat

Consistently great food and service. Audra, our server, made our visit very enjoyable last night. We started with cocktails and oysters. Always the way to go. On Audra's advice I had the fresh grilled flounder with a side of Spinach Maria. Absolutely wonderful.

Chesapeake is on of our go to places both for quiet dinners with my wife as well as group dinners.

We went here for lunch before going to smokey mountain, it is one of the few places that is still open on thanksgiving. We were served by helpful and accommodating staff, and they served us complimentary breads. The place is very unique with a lot of sea-inspired ornament. We ordered duck confit two ways and broiled seafood platter, and both of them was phenomenal, it was well seasoned, savory, and the taste is just really good. The only downside is it is a bit pricey and we thought we would get a big portion that can be shared for the four of us but it turned out it was a personal portion.

What an unprofessional experience when communicating with the management team of this restaurant. I called this restaurant to ask if I could send a bottle of wine to a table for friends who were celebrating their anniversary. The manager explained "this was not an option as they could not verify the credit card offered over the telephone was not stolen". He also added "dealing with carding the guests" would be a challenge as well.

Chesapeake's is always a stop for me. Today I couldn't decide between the clam chowder or crab bisque, naturally I got both to solve the dilemma. Both were tasty and loaded with meat. The clam chowder had a hint of smoke which set it apart from other restaurants. As always the service was fantastic and will remain a 10/10 recommendation for anyone in the area.

Waiter was nice and kind. But service was slow. Met friends for lunch. Place was not crowded plus we had reservations. I tried the spicy spinach Mac n cheese alone with seared tuna. Disappointedly both dishes were Not hot but barely warm. After surveying the other quests with similar dishes none of our meals were hot...

Although tasty I prefer my meals served hot not warm...

Unusually, the food quality was not there. In addition a close friend bit into a really rotten oyster. The bar tender just responded to her " I ate one and it tasted fine" (after her returning the dish with a complaint). Not sure what has changed there but I have had an upset stomach since last night when we are there. To qualify, I have eaten there several times before. First time that I have had an less than satisfactory experience. The service, by the way, was wonderful.

Destiny was our server and she's got a great personality, superb service, and I will request her as our server again!

Some of the best seafood Knoxville has to offer. We prefer this location over the downtown one. It's brighter and much more open. On this particular visit we stopped in for small plates/apps and some cocktails during happy hour. Service was fine, especially considering the current state of the restaurant industry. We enjoyed our food, especially the oysters Chesapeake !

This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Knoxville. This was my first time at this location, and the high ceilings and glass walls give this spot a fun and fancier feel. I saw some reviews saying the evenings seem to be short staffed and over worked, but we stopped in for lunch and the service was wonderful. We had a party of 4 and were sat immediately, and our server even offered to take some photos of our party for us. We split several appetizers, and my very favorite was the calamari. This is the best calamari in town! Fried to perfection and so fresh. For dessert, we split the pineapple

We categorize our anniversary dinner and it was AMAZING. Fast service. Extremely kind waitress. Food was amazing. We ordered the steamed lobster and the swordfish. Then for dessert Delaware Pie was to die for.
We will definitely be back.

They informed us at the hostess station that they could not accommodate our party of 3 unless we had a reservation
They claimed to be too over booked to even accept any customers, and would not even accept any reservations or call aheads
They are obviously under staffed, and under prepared!! THEY need to SHUT THE DOORS if they cannot accommodate patrons....PERIOD
I'm sorry Chesapeake's, but you ARE NOT the standard of a restaurant that is at the level that you think you have the ability to TURN people away

My mom, who lives here, has been telling me about how delicious this place is FOR MONTHS. To give you some context, my mom does not usually get excited about food at all. She took me to lunch here today and I understand why she has such strong feelings! I think it is the best seafood I've ever had. It was so fresh that I enjoyed every single bite. (The scallops were particularly special.) I also highly recommend the fresh tomato side and the crab bisque. We had outstanding service from Anthony. He was very professional, kind, and efficient. He went above and beyond.

Very good Knoxville seafood place. We've eaten here a few times now and it is always consistently good.

This time, I had the halibut that was served with some kind of compound butter that was just fantastic. I also (accidentally) got to try the Neva's potatoes. I had ordered the special tomatoes dish that came with feta cheese and basil - and that got rave reviews at the table from some others who'd ordered it. I guess our waiter heard potatoes instead of tomatoes though - which I can understand considering how noisy the place was that night - so I got the Neva's potatoes

This is one of the best seafood places in town but was still a let down when it came to service. The food we had was all excellent. Fried calamari was great and also had a very tasty Crab Bisque soup prior to the main course of the seafood platter. The food was never an issue but the service was spotty and slow all night. The girl seem to be working hard so they could have been short handed tonight or the managers did not staff enough to work.

Either way, we waited to order, waited for our food, waited for drinks, refills, bread, etc. all great once they arrive, but way late vs normal. It

Wonderful oyster bar... great dining experience... food was awesome with both seafood and meat options... nice place to go especially for a special occasion ... outdoor dining or cocktails and appetizers looks inviting!! Enjoyed our entire evening from oyster bar to food and service!

Nice restaurant to go to that is open late but slow service and expensive. Crab fingers are a bit pricy for such little portions. Nothing special about the food but nice clean restaurant with out the long waits.

I was very impressed with the seafood here, and I live on the Texas Gulf Coast!

I had the fried seafood platter, which was huge - much more than I could eat. My wife had the crab cakes. Everything was cooked perfectly, just too much of it!

Be sure someone at the table orders the baked apples as a side, there's plenty to share!

Came in on a busy weekend and sat outside. Our service was exceptional I think our servers name was Kyle and he crushed it. It felt like we were the only people in the restaurant and that's because of the service.

I eat here often with my family, as they are seafood lovers. Absolutely love the open dining space and contemporary decor. There is also a nice outdoor patio.

The service is always great from the hostess' and servers.

A complimentary bread basket is served while you wait on your food and is a welcome treat. There is a sweet muffin in there that is delicious. I could jjust eat those and be happy, so I stop myself after a few. The croissant is also very tasty.

If you're looking for fresh quality classic seafood in Knoxville, this is your place. We came in at 2:30 on labor day and as one would think it wasn't busy. We were seated and drinks were served quickly with a bread basket. Standard copper cellar fare. I ordered the seafood platter and my date ordered the shrimp. It was all hot and cooked perfectly.
