There was a sudden rainstorm at the playground. I ran for cover and that's when I saw it - a small camera, rusting under the slides. I had to rescue it. Water dripped from the viewfinder as I held it up to my eight-year-old cheek, and I saw the world in a frame for the first time. Even hooked on images, I still didn't set out to become a photographer.
Exploring a secret cove. Cracking nuts at a macadamia farm. Tasting shave ice. All with a hefty dose of beach! I believe family photos should be as much fun to take as they are to look at. A Morning Adventure is exactly that - rather than asking you to just stand around on the beach feeling uncertain, I get to know you and design a mini adventure around what delights your family.
A: My session fee includes travel anywhere on Oahu. If you'd like me to meet you in Maui, Big Island, or Kauai, a travel fee will apply - simply let me know! A: Not to worry - I photograph dozens of local families and vacationers each year. The overwhelming majority of sessions proceed as scheduled.

I don’t usually leave reviews but Heather is amazing! She is great with tips on what to wear to which beach is recommended so our toddlers will also have a great time during the photo shoot. I feel like she captured our emotions and turned it into beautiful gallery worthy photos. Kudos for wrangling 4 selfie taking grandparents and 2 toddlers under 4 together and making us look like those carefree models on the beach. She captures movement so we’ll and uses unique angles to produce interesting pictures and waits for the right lighting to get the perfect picture instead of just click click done

I just received our family film back from Heather and am completely blown away by the final product. She captured our family in the most beautiful and heartfelt way. When we were planning our trip to the Big Island I knew I wanted to hire a photographer so that I could be in some photos as well. We live in Seattle but had Heather take our family pictures when we were visiting Oahu. She did a great job of capturing beautiful images of our family. Heather of Little Bird Photography is truly a gift. Ive hired various professional photographers on Oahu to do my wedding etc. and really wish I had found her from the beginning of my search! We had pictures taken of our two and four year old while on an extended trip in Kailua. We absolutely treasure the photos! Heather did a beautiful job. Not only is she talented, she is extremely professional. My questions about what to wear etc, were answered with professional materials that gave me details about what to wear, not to wear, haircuts etc. Such great information that she has prepared to make the shoot go well.
