I've taken two vehicles here regularly since moving to the area. I understood cost was higher than some other shops, but I thought that premium coincided with a friendly hassle free environment that I could trust. Leesa was quick to give me the inspection and quote and explain exactly what the issue was. This is not something that you get at other shops. The detail that they go through to truly explain what their techs discovered is refreshing. The vehicle was fixed promptly with all issues resolved and I have had no issues since. I would recommend this shop to anyone who is in need of service, repair or simply advice.

Get a 2nd opinion! Outside of the dealership, this is the most expensive place I've ever taken my car. I'm sure they do great work based on their professional interactions, detailed pictures, and write-ups, and perhaps they work more with luxury vehicles than my older Honda Civic. Also, Covid may have increased labor costs.
That being said, each fluid flush quote (brake, power steering) was approximately $150, even though I had performed those services only 8K miles prior. See pic of fluids for transparency. They also wanted to charge $150 to polish my headlights to pass inspection

Craftsman auto care is not like most repair shops I ever been to. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place is top notch. I am always greeted with a smile and pleasant attitude. The staff members communicate very well and never try to sell you on service's that are not necessary. After running over a piece of lumber on the beltway, I dropped my car off to get inspected an hour before they closed. Craftsman's Auto Care - Alexandria treats its customers right. I had gone to another auto shop for an alignment and was told one of my tie rods had seized and needed to be replaced. I went to Craftsman's for a second opinion. They unseized the tie rod for free. I also appreciate the way they take time to explain everything involved in any work. These guys respect their customers and treat them right.

This place is a ripoff!! My engine light was on and I took my car to this place. They fixed it and charged $800 and the next day the engine light came back on and they claimed it was for something else! Also my break light came on too. I will never take my car back here again. They don't diagnose the problem correctly and they over charge.

BEWARE - I DON'T TRUST THEM!! I would not trust this place with my vehicle. Had our company van towed here because it would not start.
1. Claimed fuel pump had no pressure and needed to be replaced.
2. Claimed distributer shaft had play in it and needed to be replaced.
3. Claimed ignition wires were bad and arching, causing the distributer to go bad. Would need to be replaced.
Finally - Claimed that they would need to replace the fuel pump and distributer just to get the vehicle running. BUT... the distributer would eventually fail again if the spark plugs and wires were not replaced

I received an oil change and left on a cross country move to TN. Upon arriving to TN I noticed a huge oil spot in the driveway the next morning and the oil dipstick had NO oil on it whatsoever.
I took the vehicle to Jiffy Lube and they informed me the mechanic had tightened the oil filter WAY too tight which resulted in a snapped/broken gasket.
Thank God my engine didn't seize up while driving down the interstate with my family or my car didn't catch fire from all the oil dumping on the transmission.
After notifying Craftsman auto care and sending the GM an email, I had to call

Initially, I had an ok experience when my radiator went out on my Jeep Cherokee.
I say ok because I just needed a radiator and it was over heating. I'd never been to Craftsman & I found them on Yelp.
You'd think if it was overheating you wouldn't want to drive it far, right?!? Yea, well they did. Instead of just fixing the problem that I asked to be addressed , they instead did a 5,000 point inspection that I a) never asked for & b) that was wasted time they spent instead of fixing my overheating

The owner did contact me and offer a refund . I think this is a nice gesture but not necessary , I am happy to pay for the diagnostic . Maybe it's because he wants a better review.
I'm not sure how my brake fluid could be "black like coffee"since it was flushed last summer . I was told I had brake dust all over the brakes that needed to be cleaned , no one said anything about the fluid . However I will make sure to post the video I took today so everyone can see that the fluid is clean .
